Mathnasium helped our daughter not only catch up, but surpass her class learnings. She's well positioned for her next scholastic year!
The program is great in that an assessment is completed by the child and provides feedback to which Math areas have gaps. The child's binder is then created and they work on the pages on their own with "multiple tutors" walking around the centre to help out at any time. My daughter was loving it up until they closed for Covid-19 but now that the Winnipeg centre is opening up again we plan to visit very soon and keep working all summer towards closing the gaps.
My child’s marks in Math have gone up substantially! I would continue to use Mathnasium except the price is too high for me to maintain.
What a godsend during quarantine! The structure of independent learning had already been put into place by his having attended Mathnasium lessons for a few years and so it was an easy transition for him to make to home schooling. He has continued to progress despite the suspension of conventional schooling.
We are so pleased with how much my daughter loves the program and the tutors. We are very fortunate to have a such a centre in Winnipeg.
My daughter struggles with math more than any other subject. Being in grade 10 when math gets more difficult and parents have little knowledge of the material we are not very helpful. I liked Mathnasium because they assisted her with her homework and based on her assessment, worked through material she should fully understand up to grade 10. Going through the assessment was an eye opener, some areas in math she was a grade level 5. The school system has not helped my daughter in the areas she needed the most but Mathnasium helped her gain the skills and knowledge she was missing from school.

My daughter was having challenges with her math and had a grade of 60. After 3 years at mathnasium, she became an honor student. I wouldn't trade mathnasium for any other math learning center.
My daughter loves Mathnasium. So happy I was able to find a Math-specific tutoring environment for her. She has only being going for 1 month so we have not seen a significant improvement in her grades yet. Really like their assessment and the results that Mathnasium showed us. Was really eye opening.
My son came to Mathnasium with nearly A failing grade in calculus and he got 98% on his last test! Teacher actually threw in the extra 2% a day later. Michael and team are amazing at what they do. Glad I stumbled upon them!
We are happy with Mathnasium for helping our child with math. However one small complaint is that the staff often speak too quickly when giving assistance. Some kids will not ask to have them repeat or explain differently. Kids that are struggling with math need slow instruction which for math wizards (staff) is not natural.
My daughter is enjoying the program and tutors very much. She is continuing to progress in math.
It a great place to bring the kids to and build their confidence.
Problem solving gives them confidence
My son really likes to go to class to learn math and get a little rewards. His math ability improves after he attending several months' classes. He told me the teachers are all very patient and like him. He has more interest in it. He told me he wanted to learn more after finishing summer courses.
I think it is great fun way for kids to learn!
It's been a positive experience for our son. His Teacher have seen significant improvement in school and he has gained confidence in Maths as well

My daughter enjoyed the tutors at mathnasium, they were attentive and thorough, and always tried a new way of explaining if she wasn’t understanding a concept. They checked on her often (rather than her sitting there having to ask for help which is important if kids are shyer). They got her through her Pre-Cal 11.

Attentive, very helpful tutors. Resourceful and unrelenting to help resolve some questions which can be quite challenging in IB level content, even for them at times. Finding Mathnasium has especially been key in restoring our daughter’s confidence!
This tutoring system is extremely effective and very flexible. I highly recommend it.
