I would not recommend the private sessions for upper grades. My freshman booked his sessions and got different instructors so each session they was a learning curve for the instructor on the material. The each instructor taught it different which made it confusing and some instructors were not proficient in the material. One instructor used the same math app that my son uses to try and figure out one of the problems. While I understand not having the specific class material that he needed help with makes it difficult for the instructor. I believe it would’ve been a much better experience if he could’ve had the same instructor throughout his weekly sessions. Unfortunately this was not as good of an experience as the group sessions that my children went through from fifth through eighth grade.
Mathnasium has really helped my son get back on track after Covid.
We had hesitated to sign up In the past and our son continued to struggle until we started at mathnasium. It’s been almost 5 months and we are planning to continue until indefinitely. We have seen such improvements and most importantly his confidence in math has greatly improved. Also it help that we are arguing about math less!

The staff are great and work well with the kids. The site director is very accommodating when a session date or time needs to change. Communication is great and the staff responds to every email very quickly. My daughter enjoys going to the math sessions.

Mathnasium has helped our kids to improve their math skills, and do better on standardized testing. Christina Sellers is very responsive and helpful with scheduling. Our kids enjoy working with several of the Mathnasium tutors.

I have loved your tutors, flexibility and private tutoring.
We have had a great experience with Mathnasium. My son really fell behind due to the pandemic. He was doing virtual learning for a year and then back to in-person learning on a very limited basis. When he started 8th grade, it was apparent, he was going to need some extra help. When he first started, he was getting low C's/high D's on his quizzes and tests, but he is now understanding the material and been getting A's and B's on his quizzes, tests and homework. He has his confidence back in math. Thank you for all your help. I only wish we had known about Mathnasium his 7th grade year, so we could have gotten him help sooner.
Mathnasium really helped my daughter catch up on the math concepts she missed during the COVID home schooling. Also, she's able to do calculations in her head much more easily now and explain in words how to solve certain problems.
Thanks for taking the burden off of me to teach my 4.5 year old! She loves it!

The Mathnasium staff is very responsive and accommodating if a session needs to be switched or rescheduled. The communication is great and everyone is very nice.
Christina and the whole staff are so accommodating and supportive.
I do not like the area that Mathnasium is located, but I understand it’s difficult to find other quality locations.
My daughter came in with performance anxiety around Math tests, and after a few months of every other week sessions, has gained so much confidence!
I've been incredibly happy with Christina's communication and support at the Redwood City Mathnasium! I've seen confidence grow tremendously with both my children and I'm grateful. At times, I wonder whether I should do more of a program which is accelerated- RSM?
Overall, I've been very happy with the program and my kids don't hate going which is a HUGE win!

My son's comprehension of math has increased and he has improved his grade from a C to a B. This program has really helped him to focus and organize the content in preparation for tests.

We love the staff at this center, and have really enjoyed the math enrichment. My boys are confident in their math skills, and at the top of their classes.
Great student learning plan
Every time my daughter comes out of the sessions she's beaming with pride, showing off how much she finished in the hour. I'm so very happy and thankful for Mathnasium, for showing my daughter how to love math. Thanks again!
We were very pleased with the tutoring our high school student received from Mathnasium. Spencer was a very patient, encouraging person who seemed to be able to explain anything to our child, which helped us all get through a year of remote school! Money well spent!
The online teachers have been great. I really appreciate it when they actually teach rather than just watch them work.

Mathnasium makes math fun! My boys don't even think of it as work, they enjoy going and doing some math.
