Good activities, safe and fun
My son had the best time at camp this summer. I was really happy with all of the field trips they were able to do. His summer was so much more enriching than I could've given him staying at home.
I like the location, the great field trips, the staff has been wonderful most of the time, good onsite activities.
I do not like that I asked to have two girls put in the same group every week (since we are PT) and it happened only 50% of the time. This caused a lot of anxiety for one of the girls. She isn't part of springhill school district so didn't know anyone. It would be VERY helpful if these requests were taken seriously.
I wasn't sure what to expect from the NKC YMCA Day Camp, but my daughter's experience at camp has far exceeded my expectations. She comes home every day telling us about the fun activities she did that day. I hear her descriptions of the activities and think, "They've figured out a way to make day camp educational without the campers realizing it. Geniuses!"

My daughter had so much fun! It was nice for her to be and play with friends she had made in the previous school year. I appreciate all of the activities she's been able to do, and the field trips she's been on have been very exciting for her. She loves the pool days. I also appreciate all the time she's had each day to be outdoors and play on the playground on-site.
