My boys got to go on some amazing field trips that they really enjoyed and might not have experienced for a long time without their day camp. The enrichment activities that came to Cedar Creek were also great (reptile show, kona icee, cotton candy, etc) and the boys really enjoyed those experiences. It was also great for them to stay connected with friends from school they otherwise wouldn't have seen this summer and to meet new peers in the district.
My son loves that there are a variety of activities and field trips throughout the summer.
Appreciated the variety of activities any given week. Communication was great to help prepare for upcoming week. Also appreciated the cook outs as it provides a change in lunch.

The camp counselors made the summer fun! Camp was very organized and my child made lots of new friends! The pool and field trip days were so much fun, wish they could have a few more field trips or water splash days but everything was great! Thank you!

Plenty of activities and trips, and the Team was so exciting to be around! Great experience for my daughter, probably her best year yet and she’s been going for three summers!
I like that they get to go on fieldtrips and the camp weeks are full of fun activities. The staff is very friendly and help making drop off easier by appeasing my children if they're sad. My children really enjoyed their time there and will miss their new friends and teachers.
Variety of activities every day - regardless of each kid's interest, there is something that everyone will enjoy EVERY day!
My daughter tends to be pretty quiet and it takes her some time to warm up and make friends. The way that they break the day camp into smaller "cabins" really helps her to be more comfortable and have some consistency with the other "campers" and adult leaders. Although it still took her time to learn names and make friends, I was so excited the other day when we were at a restaurant she said "hey mom, there's Jack!" She brought me over to talk with Jack and his mom, and it was so cool. :)
I also love that my daughter was able to do some "brave" things this summer at day camp. As a parent, I love seeing her overcome her fears in a safe way, with the encouragement of other caring adults. Getting the courage to go off the diving board was a huge win for her - and now she's obsessed!
I very much appreciate the patience shown to our son as he wasn't always well behaved. The activities, field trips, and spalsh day, were things he looked forward to.
I've had a consistently good experience with Sarah Zubeck, Ms. Emily, and Mr. Jacob. All three have been around for summer and school, and I would follow them to any site. The staff makes the biggest difference in the program. We went to a different site last year with a different staff set, and my child refused to go any more by the end of the summer. Sarah is a gem and makes the experience great for the kids.
Beyond the staff, my child likes the field trips and the different options throughout non-field trip days. He enjoys outside time, and movies, and likes when Kona Ice comes to visit.
This was a wonderful opportunity to introduce more structured day to my three year old. He had a wonderful time at camp and enjoy making friends. There were lots of opportunity for field trips and other activities. I think this will be a summer staple for our family going forward.
The staff, the activities, the field trips. The whole program is very well-rounded; my daughter loved every minute. I'm already looking forward to next summer.
The only suggestion would be to send a "Welcome" email detailing June & July activities - we received one last year that contained calendars, miscellaneous information, the permission slips etc. & it was absolutely fantastic & organized.

I really liked how many activities there were and the counselors were friendly.
It was such a great experience! They did so many fun things and kept the kids from being bored! Only thing that would have made it better is if there were two more weeks added on either end so they started right when school ended and ended right when school started.
This is my sons second year and he looks forward to it all year.
He had another great summer at YMCA Camp.

My kids attended day camp at both the Highland Park and Cedar Creek camps. While they enjoyed both, the staff at Highland Park was amazing. They were teaching the kids life skills that I never expected them to learn! I want to thank all of the staff for being kind and available early in the morning. The field trip locations were great and my kids loved going to the water park every week. I will be enrolling my kids in this camp again next year!
Our child had some behavioral issues, but the camp worked with us to keep him in camp and get him on a better path.
My child loved the camp! She enjoyed the plethora of daily activities, the weekly field trips, the weekly cookouts and all the friends she made. These camp counselors did a fantastic job! The weekly communication was fantastic and always in motion. The staff was super friendly too! Would highly recommend to other parents.

The counselors are great at the camp! My child loves going every day because they are all so positive and make each day so fun. So many activities planned and field trips! Highly recommend!

We preferred the staff at HHE this year as compared to staff at Cedar Creek last summer. Field trips were well planned with good variety and communication was good.
much better experience than we have had with other camps. Loved that it was at our daughter's school and she was very happy this year throughout camp...

Everyone was super nice and my son loved it! We only went for a week and we saw one of the camp leaders out and she remembered my son. ❤️ can't ask for more than that.
