Mathnasium in Burlingame helped our son with his specific areas of focus he needed in Math. He already was a decent math student but we knew he had much more potential. We noticed he has some bad habits like not showing his work and going too fast. There were also certain math skills that he was fuzzy on. The tutors at Mathnasium helped him improve drastically in these areas. He scored several levels higher on the yearly standardized math assessment test. He likes math even more now. He liked all the tutors he had there. I would definately recommend this to friends. It is not a painful experience for your child like I hear Kumon is. It is actually a really empowering and fun environment.

My son enjoys math since enrolling at Mathnasium; we like seeing his increased confidence and improved performance in school.
I have 2 middle school kids & both have been with Mathnasium Burlingame for more that 6 months. I am very please with the management staffs there and my kids enjoy learning from the tutors there. The schedules are flexible for both of my kids to go & easy timing for my driving schedules. My kids have been improving their math in school and Mathnasium Burlingame turned my kids enjoying Math now.
I wish Mathnasium Burlingame will also offer Math tutoring & after school home work help to high school kids instead of just private lessons to 10th., 11th. & 12th. graders.
I like how each student has their own plan and that they have small groups of students working with one tutor

My two kids didn't feel like they were learning enough math in school and we're getting bored in class. When they heard about Mathnasium, met the great teachers, and did the sample lesson that was based on Mathnasium's assessment tests, they could't wait to join! Now both kids are loving the curriculum that was specifically designed for them. They are both loving math again! They also really enjoy being with the staff at the Burlingame location, and I think that they think that they have found a second home!

Mathnasium has helped with my daughter's confidence in math.
This is the best program I've experienced for any of my kids. It is customized to address the gaps in the child's knowledge and it's very effective. The best part is that my child goes to each session without any hassle, unlike Kumon which my kids hated. My child has improved her math skills tremendously over the last 1.5 years and is now so much more confident in her math class and getting A's. I couldn't be happier!

I think one element that should be added is to set a speed goal so kids do more worksheets in a certain amount of time. Since tutors are working with few kids at a time, kids may not focus while they are on their own so a time goal may help.
The work is customized for each student and the staff and tutors are excellent.
