Certain stores have judgemental staff personals which I have personally experienced especially if asking for name of store manager or their availability. I prefer someone who owns the responsibility of store brand and particular store's reputation. Being an ethnic minority can create several confusion and background can potray pre-set of ideas around a person.
However I think at Store I recently visited, I noticed the store assistant manager was very helpful to me, there was a welcoming demeanor and she helped another assistant as well share her own skillset. That was very impressive to see one employee assisting other in their skill rather than holding valuable skill for profession. 5 stats to Kelly at Kennesaw store
