We started mathnasium because both of my children were getting bored in their classes at school. We have previously done another tutoring program which stressed repetition, and I found myself forcing the kids to do their work, which was one of the reasons why we stopped because I didn’t want them to develop a distaste for math. Both of my children love the tutoring at mathnasium. They beg me to go every day, and always are happy and excited when they leave. They are both pretty astute when it comes to describing the program and both mentioned how the tutors at mathnasium are very good at teaching the material in a clear and concise manner. They enjoy the individualized attention. The way the program is structured, I can see that they relish in feeling accomplished when they achieve a “mastery check.” It definitely feels like an individualized program and their enthusiasm for attendance reflects the organization of the program and high quality of the teachers. Hello! I think this is a great program if your student WANTS to be good at math. It's challenging to get my boys to go every session without a fight. Because I am the mom, they go and have made progress, but even with the improved skills, they are not enjoying math and I don't know how else to support a love of the subject. The team at Mathnasium Thousand Oaks is really great with consistent follow-up and progress reports. I appreciate their efforts to help my kids be successful.

Our daughter has been with Mathnasium for over a year now and during the in-shelter mandate, we were happy to transition her to a digital room. This has been helpful to keep her learning math and stay behind. She has her favorite teachers and I am happy that Mathnasium accommodates our child for her comfort and learning.
