I have been taking my daughter here for several months now and LOVE THE AMAZING TUTORS! They are super nice to the kids! When the kids have a bad day they try to be there for them and help them feel better, by talking to them and listening to them! This is important!! They don’t have to but they take the time too! Kids love to go to learn math and earn prizes. The prize system is really motivating b/c it rewards simply completion of work so even if you are not a good at math in the beginning, you will still get prizes. Also the prizes are attractive enough that the kids want to earn them. That seems really key. My kids are very motivated as they want to work toward the big prizes and they love the small prizes too. They didn’t even think about the hard work! They also like the teachers and math does not scare them. My kids have been going for 2 years and will continue till they graduate from the program. It’s a good investment.
We started mathnasium because both of my children were getting bored in their classes at school. We have previously done another tutoring program which stressed repetition, and I found myself forcing the kids to do their work, which was one of the reasons why we stopped because I didn’t want them to develop a distaste for math. Both of my children love the tutoring at mathnasium. They beg me to go every day, and always are happy and excited when they leave. They are both pretty astute when it comes to describing the program and both mentioned how the tutors at mathnasium are very good at teaching the material in a clear and concise manner. They enjoy the individualized attention. The way the program is structured, I can see that they relish in feeling accomplished when they achieve a “mastery check.” It definitely feels like an individualized program and their enthusiasm for attendance reflects the organization of the program and high quality of the teachers. My daughter actually likes coming to Mathnasium for tutoring and, while she complains that it is boring, she is definitely more confident in her math skills.
Elliot is acing math now after spending a summer at Mathnasium. We wanted to make sure he had a good foundation after the crazy year with COVIID learning. I feel like their curriculum based lessons were exactly what my child needed to get a good solid foundation to continue with his math journey with confidence and success. If he falls behind again I feel like Mathnasiums style of testing, worksheets for repetition and homework help will create success instead of stress.
I was very happy with the level of attention given to my son. I also appreciate the clarity of Mathnasium's teaching. It de-mystifies math. Overall, our experience has been extremely positive and we plan to continue. My son's private tutor is an excellent teacher and is very caring.
My elementary school age kids enjoying going ! They like learning new math concepts and being rewarded with prizes for their achievments. They are not afraid of math.
Mathnasium has been a lifesaver for our son. He was struggling with Algebra and lacked confidence and was deficient in many of the prerequisite skills. Three years later and he has successfully passed Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2 and gained confidence and retained the necessary skills he will need as he heads to college this fall. He is no longer scared of math and finally eels successful. He couldn’t have done it without the help (and patience and encouragement) of his Mathnasium tutors.

We went from many nights of tears while trying to get math homework done… to getting straight A’s on our report card and qualifying for an accelerated math program. I wish we would have started Mathnasium sooner. It has given my daughter so much confidence and problem solving skills that have translated across all subjects at school.
I was really hesitant prior to enrollment because of the cost. We did have to adjust our family budget to make this work, but I can honestly say it is worth EVERY penny.
Even though we’ve “caught back up” in school, we continue our enrollment with Mathnasium and even through the summer. The “building blocks” method of their program and en stilling of problem solving skills is truly amazing. We recommend it to all of our friends. Thanks Mathnasium
