Isaiah went from loathing math to being excited to go to each session. Carl's team was patient and related to Isaiah as he is a teenage student repeating math levels for younger students. I've had a great experience with Mathnasium - Brooklyn Heights. Having a teenage daughter, it is difficult sometimes to get her motivated and interested in anything. I found that the staff at Mathnasium not just motivated her, but made her become more interactive in the work, more engaged, and in doing this, they were able to pin point her strengths and weakness, and get her to her proper grade level.

My son had a great time at Mathnasium. He felt comfortable with the tutors and was more serious about math.
Midori went to Mathnasium for almost 2 years while attending PS261. Since the learning environment at the school was not ideal we chose to send her to Mathnasium so that she can get the supplemental math education. When she started she wasn't really fond of math and started developing 'phobia' about the subject, but in no time math became one of her favorite subjects. Now she transferred to a private school where they teach Singapore math, just like Mathnasium, and her new math teacher is quite impressed by Midori's math skills and the positive attitude to tackle with new problems using the knowledge she has. All of these became possible thanks to Mathnasium. Carl and his staff were always very accommodating to our request to prep for the NYS test as well and because of that she aced the math test, too. Thank you so much Mathnasium, you guys ROCK!

Nicholas took his Mathnasium course over the summer after Pre-k and was performing at a 1st grade level after 7 weeks. His teacher, Ms.Angela, was amazing! She used a variety of hands-on strategies to introduce and practice new topics,which he loved and right for his developmental stage. She kept him challenged but also made Math a fun thing to do. Now that he's in Kindergarten,math is just a natural part of his world.Thanks, Mathnasium for strengthening a love of math with my son.

Hi, I was recommended to Mathnasium by a friend and I enrolled my son in November and before the end of the school year we saw great results. He learned great skills that he was able to direct to his other subjects. Not only did he go from a -C student to a solid B+ student in math but his overall average improved. We are so very pleased with Mathnasium. It was worth the time and money. I will be enrolling him this school year. He will be entering the eighth grade. Many of his frustrations with math has gone away and that's comforting for me as a parent.
