Instructors are able to keep things light and fun. The gamefied rewards system works well as motivation often meaning my child wants to do as much math as possible and would stay even longer.

It was a pleasant experience, but the flexibility of the summer months is not offered throughout the year.
We can’t believe the difference in our incoming second grade daughter’s math abilities and confidence since she she started Mathnasium 2 months ago.
After a year of watching her either refuse to engage with or melt down over simple math at school because she was scared of not understanding the problem/solution, she seems super at ease with it now. We notice that she is also able to solve everyday real life ‘math’ problems in her life on her own.
Best money we have possibly ever spent on her extracurriculars - we can see that she feels better about herself and less self conscious and is set up to go into the new school year on a good foot.

My children love coming to Mathnasium. They literally run to get to the door. They love working with the tutors at the Center. The activities challenge and motivate them. The stars motivates them to do even better than the session before. My twins both say Math is their favorite subject in school. At Homework time they want to do Math first. Mathnasium has definitely helped to solidify their identity as Mathematicians.
Kids enjoy the classes and I receive progress reports that keep me up to date. Also, quick responses to my questions!

My son only just started with Mathnasium so I cannot comment on his experience yet, but my daughter previously had a good experience. She attended for 2 years in 4th and 5th grade and it really helped build her basic skills and confidence level. It would be helpful for NYC locations to provide additional tutoring that focuses on SHSAT prep. I understand that as a national model, this may not make sense, but it is so critical for NYC students. My son will leave have to leave Mathnasium later this year in order to attend tutoring sessions for SHSAT this year and next.
