My daughter was really down on herself about math and it was a constant struggle to get her to spend time working on math at home. We tried flash cards, apps, online games, workbooks... and she fought them all. She LOVES going to Mathnasium and is growing leaps and bounds in her confidence with math.
My daughter enjoys going to Mathnasium and asks to go, and she has asked to continue once school starts. We tried a private tutor before attending Mathnasium, but she complained each time and disliked going. She really enjoys the teachers at Mathnasium.
We haven't been able to go as often as I had hoped, but I have been happy with the sessions so far. I would love for there to be morning hours at least one day a week during the summer, but I understand that may not be possible. We are happy with everything so far. Thanks!

Our son went from failing 8th grade math and hating it to B's and C's in just over a month and he doesn't mind going. He does his homework at Mathnasium most afternoons. We've found this helps with Science too. The best part is that I don't have to re-learn middle school math to try to help him with his studies!

Izzy's math grade has really turned around! We're very please with the results of working with Mathnasium.
I believe the plan works the best for kids struggling with math in that the "holes" in the kids' previous math experience are filled. Typical tutoring just focuses on the current issues and not these previous ones. I believe spending time on both will help them the best. And the tutors at Mathnaseum are great at helping with both of these things.
