I cannot say enough positive things about this program. Our child has anxiety with regard to schooling because he does not pick things up as fast as the other kids. He has no hesitation when going to Mathnasium, and actually enjoys it! That alone is worth it. To boot, I am certain that when school starts again, he is going to be in a much better place than he would be without Mathnasium.
When I first heard some kids at Mathnasium say that they ask their parents to take them there more often, I didn’t quite believe it. Now my kids ask when is the next day they get to return there! And my kids feel like they are mastering previously challenging concepts in a fun way, and I’m not the one stressing about how to help them without losing my patience or being too pushy. I’m not sure how your teachers do what they do and make it fun, but keep up the great work!
Ruben and the whole staff there are great with kids and not only know the material, but can teach it as well. In a world of 20:1 in private and 30+:1 in public schools, you really can’t beat the 1:1 they get here. As a homeschooling parent with a degree in physics and minor in applied mathematics I still rely on Mathnasium for my kids because it is that good.
My son loves attending. I am not sure about his retention and learning. We have only been attending for a month now.

Our son is really responding to his time at Mathnasium. We've seen an increase in his confidence and it's exciting to see him making progress.
The staff are very helpful and professional and work great with my son.
It's clear when you walk in that this is a math center. All work tables, math art on the walls, no waiting room (which is totally fine), indivitualized workbooks, 3-4 tutors ready to help. They give each child an assessment and 1 free trial session before you commit. The assessment is very thourough and helps them figure out where to start your child and how to build their lesson plan. They re-assess each child regularly and use the results to determine how to build their next lesson plan. They also have a reward system which works really well for my child.
My daughter is in 5th grade and was feeling very discouraged about school in general becasue she was having such a tough time with math.
She has been attending tutoring sessions 4x per week starting Feb 2019. After 2 weeks, her confidence lifted and she was much happier to go to school. Her school teacher has also noticed a difference. She has already improved the early elementary math skills that she was lacking and is motivated and determined to get on track and prepare for middle school math. She is super pumped about math now and is always bummed when her tutoring session is up.
I think any parent savors moments like these when your child say they wish they could do more math or are excited to go to school.
We started with Mathnasium for my middle daughter 2 years ago to build her confidence in Math and to fill in some math gaps. We recently came back for my youngest daughter (similar reason), but all three of my children wanted to do it. They feel so good after an hour & really enjoy the guides, they feel accomplished and math continues throughout our day with Math riddles. We spend a lot of time with sport activities so it is nice as a parent to feel that they are also spending a little extra time with exercising their brain.
The program director was very wlecoming and knowledgeable and made my children feel very comfortable. I appreciate the clear objectives and systematic approach to teaching and the progress monitoring and timely feedback. The instructors are helpful and friendly.
My son enjoys learning math at Mathnasium. It's a great environment to learn math especially when you struggle with it. We are new to this center. It's only been a month. We signed up for 6 months and will have a better feedback as the time goes.
The tutors, or should I say coaches?, are fantastic! Both my boys already love math and had been asking to do more so I finally relented and have been delighted that I did. They request time at Mathnasium almost every day and are disappointed that they only get to go once a day! I love that the Mathnasium coaches continue to grow my children's enthusiasm for math! My daughter really likes Mathnasium. She likes the teachers and the way they interact with our daughter. She likes it so much that she is really looking forward to go to Mathnasium on Monday and Friday nights
Love Mathnasium! The team that works with my son are exceptional - kind, extremely supportive, and good role models. The program has a terrific reward system and the environment is bright and cheerful. Outcomes? I am expecting great results - just need a bit more time until our next assessment to confirm. My son has really developed a love of math and built a lot of confidence by going to mathnasium. He loves the card/reward system. It has been very motivating for him. The instructors are great too.
I appreciate the updates but don't really understand what they mean. I'd like to know what grade level he's at or where he falls in grade level.
My kids love Mathnasium! And I can hear in their conversations their enthusiasm toward Math and how they are grasping the concepts. They have grown very quickly in their understanding and abilities. Thank you very much!!
My daughter has trouble with math. But she loves going to Mathnasium. Math is fun instead of an intimidating chore.
I have been so impressed with the process to get my daughter started. The initial assessment was very informative and our first day was awesome. They were prepared with a notebook and work sheets for her to begin. The staff if very friendly and helpful! I would highly suggest this Mathnasium location to others!!!

Clear information about what the goals are. Excellent assessment (first time that my knowledge of my daughter's "problems" with math were accurately verified--PPS can't/won't do this level of assessment), neuropsych testing can't identify the levels of "math fundamentals" that are missing. Assessment written and sent to me in language I could understand easily. Repeat assessment at appropriate time interval, with clear, extensive feedback to me. This assessment again identified something that no previous teacher of her ever talked about--though I have talked of it every year to teachers and tutors since she was very little-- of blocks my daughter places in her own way for learning--she asks questions of adults, trying to get them to do her work (and is often very successful in this regard) instead of relying on her own knowledge. She will do almost anything to "not think through" her math on her own. And they identify this as an issue and will continue to support her in not having this behavior.
Daughter is getting the math easier than when she was taught in school. The methods are true to her learning and she is happy she now understands math better! Wish this was taught in school for all the learn it. Thank you

Sydney seems more confident when doing her math. She actually asks to go to Mathnasium more often than not. She seems to have connected with the tutors and enjoys going. I can tell she's getting stronger in her math skills!
Great teachers, always helpful, just a great program. My son wants to be there and actually asks to go...some weeks he has too much other homework but we try and get in a couple times a week at the very least.
Animated helpful teachers made my son more interested in his least favorite subject.

To my surprise my 2 kids ages 8 and 10 absolutely LOVE going to Mathnasium! They jump at the chance to go and can't wait to get there. We have only attended during the summer so far, but in hearing from several other families I am very encouraged my children will be strong in math this year. Any time kids are having fun learning is a plus in my book!
