Mathnasium of Studio City accommodated my son last minute without a problem. With only a few sessions he went from a C to a B and finished his junior year with an 86. The people there are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, I definitely recommend this place.

As a student at Mathnasium, I think it's extremely helpful and super fun! At first, I did not want to have a math tutor, but after I came in for the assessment, I was dying to start my first session. All the instructors are super nice and really helpful, and I am doing a lot better with math. Now that I'm doing Mathnasium regularly, almost all my math test scores at school are 100%. I definitely recommend it!

Friendly staff and the kids learn. My daughter is getting support with basic math skills but she is also getting support with class in assignments when necessary to stay current with her class. She loves going and always sees friends from her school which makes it less of a drag for her to get tutoring after school. Andrew and staff in Studio City are great at communicating and have great energy which keeps my daughter enthusiastic about weekly sessions.

We've been at Mathnasium all year and are having a great experience! The staff is friendly and my daughter loves coming weekly and being challenged.

What can I say about Mathnasium that I haven't said before?

My husband and I couldn't be happier with how Mathnasium has helped our son. Our child used to love math and did very well at it until he had some very bad experiences with a very bad teacher. This "teacher", IMO, was not suited to teach 5th graders..she would favor some students and reprimand and/or humiliate other students in front of the class.

My child was one of those students she woul humiliate and as a result he became afraid to speak up in class, he would second guess his work, rush through his work just to get it over with to get out of there and he developed a real and tangible anxiety over having to communicate with teachers in general.

He went from being ranked as "Highly Gifted" his entire 1 thru 4 yrs of elementary and then 5th grade he fell to to "satisfactory". So, you tell me.....

Anyway, after looking around for a private tutor and seeing if we could even afford it, I came across Mathnasium.
From the moment of contact all the way up to current date, my son has been treated with so much kindness, respect, friendliness and constant positive reinforcement. Furthermore, he has found a new love for math and has shed the fear and trauma that was once a heavy burden for him.

The very first time my son had a session there, he came out just beaming! It's the kind of smile that I hadn't seen in a long time (when it comes to school or academia).
All the way home he was so happy and excited just chatting away telling me how cool it was there, and how cool he thought Andrew was. He even asked if Andrew could be his regular tutor.

It was so wonderful to see him exited like this. His next session was with a different instructor, gosh, I can't remember his name... but after that session my son said " I think I want to rotate instructors now" lol! Everyone there is awesome!

My son is an only child and I think that he is also getting a very positive, "big brother" type of feeling when he has his sessions at Mathnasium. He truly loves it there and even asks me if I can try to pick him up late so he can stay longer. (Which, of course I can't do.... well, maybe sneak one in from time to time, ha ha )

Most importantly though, our son loves math again. He doesn't stress over his schoolwork, he has regained his ability to trust teachers, and his grades have gone back up from C/D to now, as of last report, an A+!

A big, beautifu, outstanding A+!!

If you have any doubts about wether Mathnasium will be a good fit for your child then I am here to tell you to definitely give them a try.
They really gave my son his confidence back and it's truly a beautiful thing to see.

My 4th grade daughter has so much more confidence since she's been at Mathnasium. In addition to working on their program to bring her up to speed at her grade level (Pandemic learning loss was real!), their tutors help her with her math homework from school as needed. She has gone from hating math to actually liking the subject, which is where we want her to be as she heads into Middle school.
