Mathnasium gave my 2nd grade daughter the confidence to do math that she needed. That alone made a world of difference in her life and the results were obvious within days of attending. Prior to attending, she was a struggling math student for two years. Now, she absolutely loves it and happily attends 5 days a week. She has even told me that she would rather attend Mathnasium over going on vacation and she plans on attending until she attends middle school. This was the best thing I could have done for her and for me :)

Our personal story: In 2015, our school district CSE told us that our eldest child with dyslexia was uneducable and no district on Long Island could provide a program for her. That was after telling us for three years how bright she was and that she’d compensate on her own and be successful. Her doctors felt the school was just letting her drift year after year without help. Thankfully, she found her niche at Mathnasium and with the patient and dedicated staff in Commack, she maintained a high average in middle school math, meets NYS Learning Standards and went from a 1 on the NYS test for two years in a row to a 3.

Our local school district would have just put our kids in a small special education class with a slow pace of instruction to languish. Our children were concerned they were receiving less instruction when they wanted more instruction. My youngest wasn’t learning and the teachers didn’t think she was capable, she sat counting dots for two and a half years. Within one month of working together with Mathnasium, yet again, we saw that our youngest daughter could easily perform grade level math equations with minimal effort and instruction.

Mathnasium of Commack has a welcoming environment. My daughter feels comfortable and enjoys going. The staff is knowledge and flexible.

Everyone was very nice and they did their best to help my son; unfortunately he did not pass the Regents nor the class & he did not get math credit for the year, but I blame the Common Core crap, not Mathnasium.

We've just started, Thus can't give a very in depth evaluation. Grace is wonderful and we're getting better at understanding certain concepts missed or not understood in school.

Very happy with Mathnasium. Definitely helps to bring the grades up. My kids actually really like going there. They feel very comfortable. Ken is very accommodating. It's always to get in for a lesson, even if it's last minute.
