My son has never liked math and hated going to tutoring elsewhere, so have been thrilled when he didn’t mind going to mathnasium. I know this doesn’t sound like a compliment, but the fact that my son tolerates going to Mathnasium is huge. I see his attitude and confidence about math gradually increasing, which was the ultimate goal. He may not admit it, but we notice it. He likes that there are other kids at all different levels, including a lot of kids with advanced math abilities, which makes him feel better about going...less of a negative connotation when compared to other tutoring with only struggling students.
The Mathnasium staff are all excellent at working with student of varying ages and differing math needs.

I recommended a friend yesterday. One of the best things I like is the scheduling flexibility! Coming and going as we please, rather than having to abide by your ‘tutor availability’ schedule. There are always qualified tutors available whenever we need them for our visit by OUR schedule.
My 7 year old has confidence in Math! It's exciting and it's a self esteem booster for her! She filled out a "all about me" sheet at school and the question was asked, "what are you confident in?" She wrote, "Math!" The next question was, "what subject are you the best at?" Her answer was, "math!" Thank you!!

It has been wonderful to see my boys work so hard this summer on improving their math skills. And it helps that they LOVE going and have a good connection with the instructors. I am excited to see how their work this summer translates to progress in the classroom this fall!
Despite my childs initial, negative attitude about having to do math in the summer, she actually admitted to enjoying Mathnasium and never complains when we go. That's a huge success in my eyes - thank you!

Our daughter was receiving the message at school that she wasn't good at math and we worried that this message was becoming self-fulfilling. We enrolled her at mathnasium hoping that she would gain confidence and learn mathematics in a way that made sense to her, rather than the standardized test-centered approach that her current teacher was using at school.
She has been going for one month now and we are already seeing visible improvements in her confidence. She loves going, and will sometimes even do extra math problems at home after her homework is completed. She has been learning strategies for speeding up her problem solving that make intuitive sense to her. We are sorry that she didn't get this from her elementary school education, but thankful that Mathnasium was there to fill the gap.

My son thoroughly enjoys the time he spends at Mathnasium! He has only gone nine times so far, but the time he has spent there has helped him to raise his math grade in school and has definitely helped build his self confidence!
