Mathnasium is the best! We have been attending tutor sessions at the Portsmouth RI site for over a year and will continue through the summer months. My son has made such great progress and is feeling much more confidence while taking math quizzes and test.

My high school sophomore has been a student at Mathnasium Portsmouth since July 2018. We could not be more pleased with their amazing program. Doug Stearns and his exceptional tutorial staff create a warm, welcoming, friendly environment for learning. My daughter always looks forward to her sessions and has learned far more from this program than from any private tutor that we have had in the past. For a student with learning struggles, math can be very intimidating. The tutors at Mathnasium are consistently insightful and encouraging, unwaveringly patient, and sensitive to student struggles. They know how to empower students. They build not only their students' mathematical abilities but also their confidence. I only wish that I knew about this wonderful program years ago.
Mathnasium has been invaluable to us both in content and flexibility. Passing of higher level math courses would not have been possible for this foreign student transitioning to a new life in the United States. Because he really enjoys competitive sports, the willingness of the program to adjust to practice and games was very appreciated.

My 10 year old daughter loves to go she has improved greatly especially in her confidence. My 15 year old son that is very good in math went over the summer to prepare for 10th grade and he also didn’t mind going and it was a great introduction to the advance geometry he is now doing.

Mathnasium and Doug were absolutely wonderful. My daughter went there for her
senior year of high school and her grades were always in 90s. i would definitely
tell parents/students who are having math issues to contact Mathnasium and give it
a shot. You will see the grades rise and the students be happy as they have
the math explained to them one on one.

Mathnasium helped our daughter get over 100 points increase on her SAT Math score!! That says it all!! Their encouragement - constancy and skill training helped her reduce her test stress and better each time took the SAT.

Mathnasium in Portsmouth RI is just wonderful! Doug and the staff are so helpful and encouraging. My son has gone from a C math student to an A math student! At the recent parent-teacher conference, his math tutor told me he was a leader and actually assisting other students in the class. I can’t thank Mathnasium enough!!
