My daughter wasnt doing so well in 8th grade math. I was looking around for an in person Kahn academy type thing, where she would essentially be assessed and work on the concepts she was struggling with, but all I found were tutors / homework tutors... and a place called mathnasium. The price is definitely monthly bill status, but she loves it and shes doing waaaaay better.

Overall we’ve had a great experience. In my last review I was unfair in regards to the raise in tuition due to the minimum wage increase accommodating. That’s not in your control and cost of operation obviously goes up with such things out of your control. You’re running a business not a charity and have to adjust to the changing climate.

My daughter has improved a lot. We will continue to keep her at Mathnasium as long as she continues to improve and needs this tutoring which is vital to her success in school.

We did some research and your establishment is the most affordable for the experience and what we gain from the tutoring. Our daughter has had improvement not only in her understanding of math concepts, core concepts that were lost on her at a school we no longer attend and found had ignored her needs and didn’t well enough inform us how we might have helped her...we’d have had her in tutoring much sooner had we known then what we know now. Her attitude has improved at home at school it was never a problem but her teachers share now that she is more engaged in learning and bad habits have improved because she isn’t finding excuses to avoid math and how it makes her insecure she is actively seeking out opportunities to learn more.

I think I had some inflated expectations but I need to accept that she learns at her own pace. And her real understanding of math and how she comes to conclusions is more important than seeing a dot next to the mastered skills section.

She was missing dots next to nearly everything when you first assessed her and she’s come so far.

We have identified that Saturday mornings suit her well because there is less kids attending and less to get distracted by. During the week it can a little busy.

My daughter struggles in math- and she has for many years. We have used peer tutors in the past, but she still struggled. This summer, we decided to try Mathnasium. We had a lot of ground to make up with math concepts that she was missing. She didn't want to go when I told her we were going to do it for the summer. That is, at first. After the third visit, she stopped pushing back so much and actually started having more fun- "Mom- we get to play GAMES! Did you know that?!" Ever since then, it has been less of a struggle, and she has grown more confident in her math skills. The staff is very professional, enthusiastic, warm, and genuinely are happy to see the students when they come in. I highly recommend Mathnasium!

I can’t say enough good things about Mathnasium! Our daughter has gone over the years and it has increased her love of math and her confidence. I would recommend for any ability level.... struggling or excelling, they create a program unique for each kiddo.

Math was a daily frustration for us. My daughter just did not understand it and most lessons would end in tears. After about 4 months going to Mathnasium, I would not go as far as saying she loves it, but she enjoys going to Mathnasium and has learned so much. She enjoys teaching others what she has learned and no longer hates math. The incentives you have work wonders - it motivates her and keeps her engaged. THANK YOU!!!

My daughter was very resistant at first when I told her we were going to join Mathnasium for the summer. Valerie was very helpful in explaining the program to my daughter and I, and although she wasn't THAT into it yet, my daughter understood the purpose of going and working on Math. Valerie and Dawn are excellent and each time we came in, they checked in with or worked with my daughter. Then, slowly she started not to have a negative response when I told her we were going to Mathnasium. One day, Emily worked with my daughter and she got to PLAY A GAME! FARKLE! When I picked her up that day, she was EXCITED and asked, "Mom, did you know we get to play GAMES?!" Now, she looks forward to going. Emily and Jordan are her favorite teachers- THANK YOU, MATHNASIUM!
