Before Mathnasium my daughter's confidence with Math was at an all time low. She was hesitant at first to start Mathnasium. Our nine year-old fell behind this past year and started to really dislike math. We couldn’t teach her because she wouldn’t listen to us. Every night became a big fight trying to complete her math assignments. She didn’t want to go to Mathnasium and even cried the first time we attended. However, almost over night she loved going and loved learning math. It has made a huge difference in her attitude towards math. I can’t begin to explain what a positive experience we’ve had attending Mathnasium.
My son’s confidence level and willingness to do math has skyrocketed in the few weeks that he has attended Mathnasium. I am looking forward to seeing where he goes from here. I could not be happier.
We moved to Stone Oak mid-year from the NE. My 8th grader was in geometry there, but it is an “independent study” class at Lopez Middle School (algebra I is the most advanced 8th grade class here). After a month of school here, my straight A math kid had a 59% in geometry so we took him to Mathnasium. He went twice/week and thanks to them finished the year with an 89%. My younger daughter will be in 8th grade geometry this year and we absolutely will be bringing her to Mathnasium!
Great program
We moved to San Antonio from NJ where my son was in 8th grade geometry. We were surprised that Lopez Middle School does not have a dedicated teacher for the subject, and that this is an "independent study" course here. When he started Mathnasium, one month into the 2nd semester, he had a 59% in the class. He ended the semester with an 88%. Our 7th grade daughter is in the same situation and will absolutely be coming to Mathnasium next year for her 8th grade geometry.
The owner was gracious in helping get my children into the Mathnasium program. The onboarding process was smooth and enjoyable. My kids love it there and are quickly becoming more confident in their math abilities. I am ecstatic with our experience so far. I feel incredibly lucky that my kids attend Mathnasium in Stone Oak. I hope I can continue to send them here for the foreseeable future.

We were dissatisfied with one session and the staff went out of their way to fix/remedy the situation immediately. We appreciate how willing the teachers are to work with our son and to adapt to what he needs to learn. In addition, to highlighting to us his strengths and weaknesses.
Lauren has been really helpful. I just wish there were mire time focused one on one instead of tutor’s attention is spread out with multiple students in every session.
My daughter has never been happier to do math than after she started at Mathnasium! Its so gratifying as a parent to hear her genuine excitement every day she gets to go there! She was apprehensive only the initial meeting day. The staff are wonderful and Lauren the director at Stone Oak has been absolutely amazing in working with us in getting our daughter situated. She was really struggling with math before coming here and we were really at our wits ends in trying to help her. But now we couldnt be more proud of her! I love how they have a reward system that kids can work towards too! Highly recommended!
I really enjoy the online platform (and not just because of covid). It helps with time in an already busy parent afternoon. The additional help with homework is always a plus and just meeting my child where she is and progressing at a pace that is child driven.
