On the first week of school, my 9th grade daughter made a 65 on her first Algebra exam. She let me know it was time to return to Mathnasium. This is the 5th week of school and she has a 93 grade point average in Algebra. The importance of her returning to Mathnasium to get that one on one, is a reflection of her grades. Júlia is really liking Mathnasium. Initially she fought not to go however after one session has totally changed her mind. Her confidence level seems to have improved tremendously as well.
My daughter feels like she is learning in a very fun and nurturing environment. In the past, she has had a negative experience at a different center (unrelated to Mathnasium) but once she got to Mathnasium of Smyrna, she felt comfortable. She is in an environment where she feels like she is learning, feels valued and the most importantly, she feels like it is fun rather than stressful.

The Mathnasium tutors offer individualized help. They connect on a personal level with students, then go on to tailor lessons around the student's learning style. The success of their approach is evident by the leap in confidence my child demonstrates immediately after a lesson. "Hey Mom, I'm really smart and I can do this math," is what my teen said following a recent lesson. It's really that simple. I wish more educators would learn by example.
We are new to the Mathnasium experience and we had to start with the online process. However, it has been good and I like the premise of the program. We look forward to the in person experience.

My son enjoys spending time at Mathnasium. He is starting Algebra this year as a seventh grader and I wanted to make sure he has the skills and confidence to complete the daily work since they are moving at a fast pace. He gets a chance to review his homework assignments when needed and make sure he is is on track and he is also strengthening weak spots from last year. I would highly recommend Mathnasium.
Shalini was so very accommodating and happy to help. Even though we were in a terrible time crunch, she put my granddaughter with Emily who helped Maya work through some unclear areas. I only wish I had found Mathnasium sooner. Thank you and I would highly recommend you to anyone!

Justin's first month as a student with Mathnasium has been value-added in several ways:
1) Justin indicates it's easier (more comfortable) for him to communicate questions to Mathnasium tutors/coaches (vs. his Algebra Support Class teacher). He also feel Mathnasium tutors/coaches understanding/knowledge of the subjects are good.
2) Justin has seen a slight improvement to scores for the few quiz/tests he’s taken over the past month.
3) On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest rating), Justin rates his first month experience as a 10.
4) Mathnasium has supported my goal of instilling into Justin the need to "practice" math if he wants to improve his math "skills" and “confidence”. Additionally, to not allow himself to get comfortable if he experience improvement, but continue to do the things that led to the improvement and persevere to the end.
