What I loved about my experience at Mathnasium, particularly during this pandemic, was the extraordinary attentiveness of Wes, the site manager at the Santa Monica location, who thoughtfully paired my son with a tutor who fit his very specific needs. Wes was incredibly responsive and collaborative in helping us to find the right zoom appointment slots and also to facilitate meeting with my son’s teachers to better understand how to support him. We are on our second child attending your program and after other failed attempts with other tutoring programs, they were all lacking everything that Mathnasium offers! What brought us back was the ease of center time with the flexibility of 6 days a week! With everyone’s crazy schedules these generous center hours work for us! Also, with the individual instruction and attention, This group tutoring style is preferred over private tutor anyway by our child. Also, your wonderful staff and outstanding center Director! Our child feels very supported! Thank you.

Our child (age 14) is finding this a very worthwhile experience. We appreciate that Mathnasium uses pencil and paper rather than typed communications; this method of teaching seems to stick better in the child's brain for some reason. The Santa Monica Mathnasium is well managed and concerns about billing, timing, and other issues have been promptly and carefully addressed. The emphasis on deep understanding of the mathematical process will be very helpful to child, and is enjoyable for him.
Kelly Kim, the center’s director, provided a thorough evaluation of my son before joining the program. She manages the center well by making sure students and tutors are listening to one another, a positive learning experience.

My son has had a great experience at Mathnasium so far. I did not think him capable of 1. wanting to go, 2. being able to sit and focus and, 3. learning so much so fast. He's a very active kid but in that environment, he is consistently inspired in a positive way. I really like the flexibility of dropping in during open hours, it makes it realistic for our schedules which seem constantly in motion (much like our children).Thank you!
