Mathnasium has been a lifesaver! Math homework used to be such a struggle for my daughter before the team at Mathnasium identified the weak links in her understanding of critical math concepts. Being a military family moving from school to school every two years had really taken it's toll. Now, with Mathnasium's individualized math instruction, my daughter no longer sheds tears over her math work. She has been in the program a year now and was far more successful and less stressed out over her math class than she had become in previous years. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and she enjoys her time there. We are very happy.
Our son went to Mathnasium to help him prepare to retake his NOVA math entry exam. He worked with the team at the Lorton facility from May - August. When he retook his test he placed 2 levels higher than his first attempt. He was so pleased! He thoroughly enjoyed working through math (which he never did before) as a result of his work with Mathnasium. It boosted his self-confidence and enabled him to succeed. He is no longer afraid of math. Thank you!

Mathnasium of Lorton was a very worthwhile investment to help my daughter Julia with high school math. By her senior year, she was taking calculus, and owner Jim Ross worked directly with her which made a big difference. My only wish is that we'd started sooner!
Adriana did well there. I think it depends on the child. Sometimes, more one on one assistance is better for a child.
