My son's experience with Amanda was very good; however, my son needs to meet with a tutor at least twice a week. My rate was $70 per hr. And unfortunately I can no longer afford at this rate. This has been a great experience for our daughter. In just a few short visits, her comprehension has skyrocketed and her confidence has increased. Rita and the staff of tutors have been great. Victoria is far more engaged and loves math ever since we started mathnasium. She had reiterated several times how much better mathnasium is compared to Kumon. So glad we made the change -- only wish we made it earlier!
My son has a lot of anxiety with math and since he started in May, his confidence has gone up tremendously. Here was a kid who has struggled with math for a very long time and he took his Algebra final and got a C. That was like an A to him and me!! I feel very confident that he will have a very successful year as a sophomore this coming fall.

Our daughter, a 10th grader at Glastonbury High School, has always understood and maintained good grades in math, but Geometry is different. It has been perplexing and difficult. After just a couple of tutoring sessions with Rita, our daughter's confidence, understanding, and performance have improved. She likes that Rita always compliments her for what she knows and encourages her when she isn't quite getting something. Rita uses a positive, supportive teaching approach, and she knows her mathematics. We also like how accommodating Mathnasium has been with scheduling. When something came up before a session, we were able to contact staff the night before and change the date and time without a fuss. We have already recommended Mathnasium to several friends. It has worked great for us!
From the first visit, my son, who detested Math, complete with tears, completely changed his attitude. He thoroughly enjoys Mathnasium and is excited for each session. When we started him at Mathnasium, his Math grade was a D+. So far, his first math test grade since his Mathnasium lessons was an 85%. I can't wait to see more! Thank you, Mathnasium!
