My 4th grader is about a month in with this Mathnasium, and we could not be more pleased. The program/curriculum is effective, the staff skilled and friendly, and the director accommodating and eager to see my son succeed. We’ve already seen improvement in his test scores and an increase in his confidence in math. Perfect fit for our family - highly recommend.
I've been wanting to sign my son up with a Mathnasium for three years but didn't because 1) he was grumpy and did not want to go, 2) our busy schedule, and 3) I didn't find a Mathnasium that had the right vibe. That is, until we stepped into the Laguna Niguel location.
Just looking at how the front desk is set up, you can tell this is a very open place. No desk placed all the way in the back room, no desk turned around so it is between you and the person like a barrier, and Robert, the manager, connected with my son in such a way it halfway sold him on the idea of trying Mathnasium.
So their vibe felt welcoming and energetic, the place is open both days on weekends which is a huge plus for us to have that option, and my son was willing to try it which is not easy for a teen.
I believe in being totally honest and forthright in my feedback so I will also say the price was higher than expected having been to other math centers. But, if it works it is well worth it as doing well in math can give a child options later in life. It seems to be working very well for us - we are 1 month in. We no longer stress about his downward trend in math grades - his math grades have turned around and been going up and up. It's still very early in the semester but so far he has an A+ and I expect it will be near that by the end of the semester thanks to Mathnasium.
We no longer stress about him missing math assignments and poor showing on quizzes. We know he has some gaps to fill in math from last year due to his math teacher suddenly disappearing in the middle of the year never to come back and sure enough Robert caught that gap too from the diagnostic test. I trust Robert to look at his progress and understanding and make sure he gets caught up. Robert is that diligent and conscientious.
Being a teen, he would still rather be home playing video games than coming to do Math here but even he sees how it is a huge benefit to him. He has grown to enjoy talking with the tutors there. I think a few more weeks and he will actually like going. Right now he's somewhere between resigned and mildly positive.
From a parent's perspective this place has a great location which makes it easier to incorporate in our day. Sprouts is there if we need a snack for him before or after the hour. Communication is great. They can teach high school algebra and geometry well so this place is not just for the younger kids. As long as Robert is the manager here, I would highly recommend the Laguna Niguel Center.

Center is very cooperative and Robert has been great to meet all the demands and needs of our son!
Tutors are able to teach my kid in a way he understands so that he isn’t frustrated. They are doing so much better than his teachers at school. We should have started mathnasium a year ago!
Robert always tries to work with our crazy schedule which is great. Best of all through is that my son Really feels like it’s helping him and he likes going.

I'm very pleased with the attention and enthusiasm my child is receiving at Mathnasium. He has become more encouraged and inquisitive in math and feels like the topics he is covering have become more clear.

At first my granddaughter refused to attend the summer program. I had to bribe her to go. Now she just goes on her days. I don’t know about her progress since I am not on email list.
I recently signed up my three children at Mathnasium at the Laguna Niguel location and am very happy about it. The tutors there are very helpful and created a fun environment while learning math at the same time.
The quality of teaching/tutoring is excellent. Robert and his team are passionate about teaching which makes it fun to learn. Our daughter really enjoys the learning environment and has taken a liking to math as a result.
My son has said this has helped him. He goes daily and says it has helped. I can tell his confidence is greater and he seems more positive looking into the future.
The teen homework program is an awesome format. She can drop in any night she doesn't understand her math homework and get the help she needs. She likes the atmosphere and the instructors. And best news is she is getting a solid A in geometry!

We love how we can schedule sessions online and the kids have been willing to go for sessions without any whining. They like all the teachers/ mentors there, and they seem to keep my kids on task. Also, once the kids have mastered their grade level math, they are given the next grade level of work and so there is enough challenge and new learning going on to keep them engaged.
Our son looks forward to going to Mathnasium.
I like it there because the kids seem to be happy and relaxed while doing work. It is a nice environment. Instructors are excellent. No complaints from my son. They come up with a good learning plan.
Our 10 years old daughter started to go to you approx. a month ago.
After her first visit, she said: "Finally this make sense!"
Since then, she is more opened to sit down alone, and do her math homework, and definitely: there is much less struggle, and fight between us. 😀

Staff is always nice and patient
The fact that my twelve year old son is doing a lot better in school in the short time he has been going to Mathnasium is pretty amazing within itself. He still has a way to go, but by bringing up my concerns to the director regarding what’s being worked on in school, Robert the director, has given my son more examples to work on. For that alone I am thankful for. Little by little my sons confidence in math is getting better. I’m pleased to say I/we are happy with Mathnasium from the start. I highly recommend Mathnasium! They staff is kind and patient and not a stressful whatsoever environment at all.

My twins don’t like math and are behind. Two weeks into their program, they like math! We come twice a week after school which I thought would be very difficult for them. They’re tired after school and have difficulties just taking the time to do homework. I was afraid Mathnasium would be more “school” to them. To my happy, surprise, they really like it! Somehow, Mathnasium makes math fun!
We like positive atmosphere, friendly teachers who challenge students thinking, mixed groups, flexibility in adjusting curriculum.
