In the day and age of one size fits no one education, Mathnasium makes it possible for a kids to succeed by having top notch instructors with a top notch curriculum. My kids love math. I am sure it is because of Mathnasium and the team in Saint Pail.
It was a good experience and I would come back however I did feel like my daughter really needed help learning the basic multiplication tables which is why I took her there in the first place. I did voice my concern that the tables were the core of the problem however I never felt that she really worked directly on the tables. She was given other worksheets that helped her on other things but nothing that simply ingrained the basic tables. I ended up doing the flash cards with her for an entire month and it worked! So while mathnasium didn't do the exact job I needed it to do in terms of multiplication it did gave a lot of confidence in herself and she always loved going!
My daughter LOVED going to Mathnasium. It allowed her to get one-on-one guidance at her own pace. It really improved her self esteem in her math skills because she could feel good mastering skills but at her own pace. We had a wonderful experience this past academic year and will probably use it again next year, when our daughter will be in 9th grade.
