Ben has really enjoyed going to Mathnasium, which I have to say is surprising to me considering his attitude towards math. He is starting to gain confidence and that carries over into all of his other subjects at school. We would definitely recommend this program!

Pre-Mathnasium: "I'm not against going to Mathnasium."
First day: "I don't want to be here."
Been attending for almost two weeks: "Yes, I like it better than math class at school! WAY better!"
Other comments since then: "Can we go more than three times a week?" "I like going there; it's fun!"
My daughter now sets goals for *herself* and strives to really comprehend the material that has given her trouble in the past. She looks forward to her Mastery Checks and having the chance to ring the bell and get a red ticket! It doesn't hurt that the instructors form their own unique relationships with the students and are not just a "math tutor" in their lives.
My son, who does not enjoy math, enjoys going there. That's a big deal.....
My son's confidence in math was non-existent. After 3 weeks of tutoring, he now asks me to quiz him in the car with math problems because he feels confident.
So far my daughter is making progress and feels as though she is understanding some concepts that have been blurry for her over the years, so we are excited for the progress and looking forward to more growth over the year.
My son was not a struggling math student - he maintained a "B" average. I thought giving him a chance to have additional support as the math skills he was learning in school increased in difficulty, was a good idea. To date, he continues to look forward to going to Mathnasium. He really enjoys the environment and being able to interact with the teachers in a small group setting.

It's nice to hear him ask to go to the Mathnasium rather than sit at home playing video games, refusing to do his homework. He was so frustrated that he would literally pound his head on the table. Eventually, he would give up. Now he looks forward to it! This was the confidence kicker he needed and is trickling over into other areas of his life =)

My son has just been coming to Mathnasium for about 2 months. I already see an improvement in his math grades at school. More importantly, I see confidence in him. Confidence that is being carried to all his classes. He loves going to Mathnasium. He never complains about going, even if it is a Saturday. He has enjoyed all his instructors so far. Awesome place.
