My boys first started going to Mathnasium in Sudbury when they were in the third grade and now they are about to start high school. We took a couple of years off since they were doing well in Math overall, but they asked to go back to Mathnasium during Covid since they felt it really helped them stay on track and keep their grades up. They realized they couldn't always get the after-school help they were used to when they were fully remote for almost the whole year. And they actually asked to go during the summer!
The owner Joanne is wonderful and my boys have enjoyed all their instructors over the years. If you are looking for a warm and nurturing environment where kids actually have fun and their confidence is increased, then I would definitely recommend Mathnasium in Sudbury!

My daughter earned an A+ in freshman year math this year despite remote learning. She said "I am a ROCKSTAR in math!" When one of her former 8th grade teachers said that she must have had a good teacher, her reply was "It was Mathnasium!"
Mathansium teaches "don't panic" math and takes as much time as the student needs to fully understand the concepts, procedures and skills to accomplish problem solving. And there is no extra homework so one less thing to fight about getting done.

Joanne was very easy to work and flexible with to schedule and sometimes reschedule appointments. My daughter liked her tutors and felt they did a great job teaching her.

My daughter loved going! Did not complain. Looked forward to it actually. Her one comment was that it was hard when she was sharing a tutor with someone who was either older than her or not doing the same math work because she had to wait a while to ask a question while the tutor was helping the other person. I know it's so hard to coordinate since people sign up last minute but it would be great if kids doing the same course work were at a table together.
We truly appreciate your flexibility and personal approach to helping kids learn challenging topics. Mathnasium has been a confidence builder for my daughter.
We appreciate how accommodating you have been for Maya. My only complaints are lack of available appointments, and if I'm not a member of Mathnasium I don't have access to the online scheduling system. Otherwise we have been very happy!
