My child has been about 1.5-2 yr behind in yearly state math testing for 4 years with insufficent math instruction at her school. Due to this, and her inattention struggles, she went through a psychoeducational evaluation and was praised by the academic evaluator for understanding many of the mathematical concepts she was accessed in. Her teachers were shocked when she accredited her recent math comprehension to the 1st 2 weeks of math tutoring at mathnasium. She additionally reports feeling a huge increase in competence and confidence in her math skills. It has only been 1.5 months so we cannot wait to see what her next yearly state math testing reveals.
We love Mathnasium! My daughter has gained confidence in math and looks forward to her sessions. The tutors are great and explain concepts to my daughter in a way that makes sense to her. Also, Revati is flexible and very easy to work with. Overall we are having a great experience with Mathnasium.

My daughter really likes the reward system & I like the prompt feedback on what she is not getting right. She doesn’t like me explain how to do math, but somehow it’s not a big deal coming from the friendly staff.
The focus on really understanding facts and concepts goes a long way for kids, We love the fact that there is no unnecessary homework to bring home and its a low pressure but outcome based learning environment.
My son was struggling in Algebra, so we knew he needed extra help. His grade went up a full letter grade with-in one month of attending Mathnasium. It’s still a hard subject for him, but I know he feels more confident in his abilities. He also enjoys the tutors and I think it’s great that they are students themselves (high school and college age) which makes it more relatable to my teenager. We would definitely recommend Mathnasium to our friends.

Mathnasium allows our 7 year old to learn at his pace, not the pace of the school classroom.
This has enabled him to push forward at a faster pace which in turn has sparked a real passion for mathematics.
He is now developing new personalized strategies for mathmatical problem.
His first algorithm (a simpler way to divide by 5): x = (n/10) * 2

The owners are instructors are very pleasant and caring. I feel my child is receiving the attention she needs. The only thing I would recommend changing is the reward system. Kids get an incentive to finish their work which is great. However I wish it can be something that is harder to achieve and not a candy. For example do well for a whole month or two and get a free movie ticket.
Besides candies, I woukd highly recommend Mathnasium to all my friends and families.
My daughter Saylor always tells me she likes going and feels like she understands her math homework so much better after working with their wonderful tutors!
My 8th grader was frustrated each night to the point of tears after struggling with her math homework, and was convinced that she "just couldn't do math." After just one month at Mathnasium her grades have already improved and so has her confidence. She scored at the top of her class during an impromptu math exercise last week, and just yesterday she was happily explaining to me how to plot a linear equation.
The individual attention at Mathnasium is invaluable, and the flexibility is key - she can go as much as she needs to, at the hours that are convenient for her- no constant rescheduling to accommodate doctors appointments and after-school activities. Mathnasium was a great find for us and the results speak for themselves.
