Although our son was reluctant to attend at first, he has become more excited about going to Mathnasium and his grades in math have improved.
Mathnasiun has been great for my son. I think he combination of providing math problems for him to work on as well as providing assistance with homework really improves skills. I would only say that it is often difficult to get to/from mathnasiun in the 5:00/6:00 hour so any move to have more seating/instructors available earlier like 3:30/4:00 would be great!
Both of our kids have excelled at school as a result of Mathnasium. Our 3rd grade daughter had terrible math anxiety stemming from a drastic change in the dynamic in which she was instructed at school. Math is now her favorite subject and she is overcome with joy whenever we attend Mathnasium. Math homework is the first subject she tackles when she gets home. We have been very happy with Mathnasium thus far. Our daughter loves to go (she actually asks to go!), and we've seen her confidence in math grow tremendously, even in a short period of time.

My daughter was having severe anxiety about math, and this was in only kindergarten and first grade! So last summer we enrolled her for a summer session and she's had such a change! She's about to finish 2nd grade, having extended through the school year, and she now loves math. She's doing fantastic in her classroom, likes to go to Mathnasium, and wants to continue over the summer too for a head start on her 3rd grade curriculum. It's not cheap, but it's definitely been worth it.
Having recently moved from Australia, our main objective was to help both our kids to transit smoothly into the US education system especially in Maths. Our 10 year old enjoyed Mathnasium and looked forward for it everyday (and wasn't happy that the centre was closed on Fridays and Saturdays!). All work were done at the centre which meant they had time for homework and play when they came home. My 6th Grader has occasionally taken her homework to the centre too for some help which is great.
Excellent program for our daughter. She was struggling with just about all types of math problems and now she has the knowledge and confidence to tackle every math problem in class.
