My son was struggling mightily with Algebra I, to the tune of a D, with an F grade clearly in sight. Carson need more one-on-one specialized time to help him figure out where the gap was and why he wasn’t grasping the material, more so than the extra help that was available to him at school.

I knew that a few sessions at Mathnasium would probable help, since they would be able to spend the time needed to get him over the hump, and to grasp the concept of the material he was stuck on. However, I didn’t want the “band aide” fix, I needed to see a long-term fix so I opted for the longer-term tutorial session for 4 months.

My son went from a failing student to a solid “B” student and he has been able to hold that level of grade with confidence through Algebra I & now Algebra II.

Mathnasium put together a customized program specifically for my son.

Forget the costs, this was my son’s future; If I had known the outcome was going to have such a positive impact on his grades I would have signed him up so much earlier.

This was my daughter's suggestion - rather than doing one-to-one tutoring. She likes having other kids there and being part of a group. She also likes the fact that sometimes she is working with different instructors. Each one teaches and helps in different ways. Lastly - she really likes the incentive prizes! It seems to be helping remind her about the steps and strategies - also rebuilding the foundation that wasn't very strong. I just wish we had done this sooner!

My son is making good progress on improving his math skills at Mathnasium and enjoys working with the tutors.

I very pleased so far with Mathnasium and it's staff. The tutors are very nice, and relate well with my son. They have been very helpful in answering his questions and for improving his grades in math. The store environment is also a positive space for learning. The hours and availability are convenient. It's very easy to schedule or change an appointment online. The price is also good. Overall, I would definitely recommend Mathnasium to others.
