Joseph is an amazing tutor, irreplaceable. For a number of years my child has had math teachers who may be knowledgeable but lack the "art" of teaching. I am not lying when I tell you my son went from an F to an A simply by meeting with Andrew once a week throughout the year. My child had the ability to understand and do the work, he simply needed a great teacher. Joseph was this for my child. After that year, my child continued to see Joseph as support and to come alongside the teacher with more complicated concepts (my child is in an advanced math program). My child's success in math is, in my opinion, shared by Joseph and my family will forever be grateful for his gift/talent to teach. Andrew is always helpful, understanding, and flexible. In my observation, everyone at the Sherman Oaks Mathnasium is kind, thoughtful, and dedicated to ensuring children not only understand but enjoy math.
My daughter enjoys going to mathnasium and the rewards system works well to motivate her. The teachers are enthusiastic and able and her confidence and ability in math is growing.

We were beyond pleased with our experience at Mathnasium. The instructors and staff were phenomenal. My daughter not only gained valuable math skills but her confidence in her ability to tackle math problems is now off the charts. She loved going to Mathnasium; she would have gone every day if our schedule allowed. The reward program was a great incentive, but after a while, she just loved going, and completing the mastery checks was a special accomplishment. The instructors were not only skilled but a lot of fun! I really appreciated the written reports and the phone updates tracking my daughter's progress. We hope to be back for a refresher at the end of the summer.

My first and second graders both love going to their private and small group appointments, respectively We go once a week all year, less a few months with extra crazy sports schedules. They have fun with the math and the teachers. They enjoy movie up in skill levels and getting rewarded. I find the staff excellent, and the teachers clear and kind. Thank you Mathnasium!

You did a great job showing our 12 year old that “math doesn’t suck” when it’s taught the Mathnasium way. Now if we could send the math teachers to Mathnasium to learn to teach (or rather burn the Common Core books!).....
