You are doing a great job. When I talked to my daughter about math explanations. She said sometimes they give explanation written in paper. She is kind of a kid likes oral explanation. She remembers well. That's what I noticed.
Hence I agree that kids has to learn by referring the materials. But I request you to do those later grades. And she solves the problems quickly with out reading properly. Each kid is different I am working at home with her and I want you to encourage her

My daughter was failing math. She had lost her confidence and convinced herself that she was bad at math. Since she started Mathnasium, I can see her confidence coming back. She likes the relax atmosphere and the staff. She tells me that she understands better now. I am so happy to have discovered Mathnasium and I would recommend it to any child struggling with math.
The tutors at mathnasium were able to explain precalculus concepts to my son in a understandable format- which the CPM text and teacher had been unable to do!

I have tried several private math tutors for my son, with no obvious improvements. With Mathnasium, from the first day he participated, he became excited and his enthusiasm for Math returned. I have noticed a huge improvement in his math skills, and his confidence after a very short time.
Ella was struggling with confidence in math and herself. Since going to mathnasium, she feels confident enough to finish her homework by herself. She really understands the concepts and makes math in school much easier!!

I was worried that my daughter wouldn't enjoy going to do extra math work but she loves going! She enjoys having her own binder and having the opportunity to work towards a prize of her choosing!
