I did not believe the reviews that mentioned a child loving and enjoying Mathnasium (I might’ve said some snarky things about it). Yet here I am to tell you my 10 year old, who has been going twice weekly for a month, has said to me she enjoys Mathnasium and feels more confident about math!

Mathnasium at the Preston Forest location has been great for my daughter. We have used the center off and on for years. Dr Valerie Johnson and her team took the time to get to know my daughter’s quirky learning patterns, and made math fun for her. They helped calm her anxiety about math, worked with her ADD, improved her self confidence, and have helped her excel in honors math courses. Everyone there is friendly and caring. Well worth the investment!

Dr Valerie takes personal interest in her students and hires great people. My children not only are learning but they enjoy being there and want to go. I am thrilled.

My kid likes the teachers and doesn't mind going in for lessons even though he'd rather stay home. The teachers are all patient, interacts with him well, and puts up with his banter about things not directly math-related.
Grade were dropping, confidence was slipping so we went in for an assessment and Valerie was just awesome! We signed up and smiles are back, confidence is up and frustration is definitely lower.

My son has had a fabulous experience at Mathnasium. He went from struggling with basic concepts to getting all A’s on his math tests. His teacher is shocked at his improvement! We are so grateful for this learning center!
The Mathnasium has done a tremendous job helping my son. The combination of weak schools in the state we moved from and those schools completely closing for the pandemic, he started school here years behind where he should be and with a very bad attitude towards math. He has been a challenge to teach. The instructors at Mathnasium have been very positive and helpful. My son has made slow, but steady progress and enjoys his sessions. The team was exceptional in the way they worked with him to get him ready for final exams. I could see how his algebra skills improved after each session. Each team member is clearly well trained to work with challenging kids and all have an impressive knowledge of math.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mathnasium of North Dallas. Dr. Valerie and her tutors are so smart, patient and amazing. My nine year old daughter’s math skills drastically improved during her one year with Mathnasium. She has so much more confidence now, and math has become her favorite (and best) subject! The North Dallas location is the best!
Valerie has been great to work with on setting up a plan to address some knowledge gaps our son incurred during COVID. She was a great resource to our family and after speaking with her we immediately felt better about the plan. I wished we would have engaged with Mathnasium sooner!
