We have been doing online and in-person learning with Hancock Park Mathnasium for several months now. Our tutor is Marcus, and he has a professional and calm manner. He has been cementing concepts and learning, and explaining anything that requires better understanding. Our child has gained in confidence in and enjoyment of Math, and this is down to Marcus. Separately, Alex Ayala, the Hancock Park leader, has been helpful and professional in making the process as seamless as possible. Highly recommend.

Alex Ayala, the leader of the Hancock Park office, took care of us. The kids' math improved on the test. My son's more than my daughter's. And the children said the tutors were good at explaining and they understood certain concepts better.

My son has had the best experience with the tutors at the Hancock Park location; Marcus is his favorite tutor! Although Math has always been an area he struggles in, and more now in the 7th grade Magnet program, Alex was great at helping me come up with a plan to help his tutors keep him on track with his assignments without it feeling like an arduous task for him. I'm grateful that this has been a fantastic resource for Donovan so he's able to learn without disliking the experience of learning math!
Hours for privates are to limited
My daughter had to catch up certain maths fundamentals as we are "out of State" but also from another country. The curriculum is different.
Alex, the manager has gone out of his way to assist us. Her classes with various Instructors have been managed very well by him.
Firstly she had to perform a test to understand where her weaknesses were. This was a brilliant identifying tool.
Since then she has attended Mathnasium. She also received private lessons from Ben, which has been a great help.
If it was not for Mathnasium so far, she definitely would have had problems. At the moment with the dedication of Mathnasium manager Alex, the help of Ben it contributes to my daughters' success.

Mathnasium helped my son go from a C/B- grade in Honors Algebra 2, to an A.
They helped him by taking him step by step on math problems for a better understanding of how to reach the right answer. They encouraged him to show all his work, on his homework.
I love the fact that mathnasium is open 6 days a week, and you can go everyday.
They helped him learn how to take quizes and tests better, and faster, by giving him mock quizes.
They helped to explain problems that he didn't quite understand in class.

Fun way to review and learn new skills.
everyone at mathnasium hancock park has been delightful. being able to drop in without an appointment is genius - and really the only way we could get math instruction in with my daughters' schedule. my only complaint would be that in the summer in would be great to have morning hours, as well, as often its easier to fit in, less traffic, she's not tired about more able to focus, etc.
My son has struggled with math for years. His first year in middle school was even more of a struggle. After hours of searching on the internet, I'm glad I found Mathnasium because it allowed him an entire summer to focus on the one area he's always struggled with and disliked. He was hesitant at first and was not looking forward to attending "math camp" BUT after only his first day he said he had fun learning math. The words fun and math would never come out of his mouth, but they did! Kai at the Santa Monica location and the staff at the Hancock Park location are all great, welcoming, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I'm excited that I finally discovered the solution to my son's math woes and am looking forward to him catching up once he begins 7th grade!!!!

My daughter has only been going for a month or so but already we see an increase in confidence when tackling challenging math problems. She loves going even after a long day of school, and has a positive and fun learning experience with every tutor she’s worked with there. Classroom is clean and organized, and the new management has been very professional in the transition. So happy we chose Mathnasium! And this branch in particular is the cherry on top.

Mathnasium is making a huge difference in my child. When she she started she could hardly sit through one lesson without becoming so frustrated she would literally throw up. Our daughter has thrived since starting at Mathnasium. She was being held back by some skill deficiencies and a lack of self-confidence that was setting in from being behind her peers. We love the flat monthly fee for unlimited access model that Mathnasium offers and the curriculum and staff have worked well in parallel with her studies at school.
