The staff is wonderful. I love Mathnasiam for many reasons. The Only problems I have is that I am lower income and my daughter needs help in math and the one on one cost for me is a little high.
The other thing is since we can only afford to go a few times a week and they started her a year back to see where she, it is taking her forever to catch up. now she is going into fourth grade and they are only doing 2nd grade level math. Her Father has been working on 4th grade math over the summer and I want to talk to someone about getting her going on her level.
I want to have her come in 2x a week for 30 min and work on what she is working on in school. So this is the direction we want to go in. I am hoping we can figure something out. Thank you.

My son had completed algebra 1 but was not proficient. Mathnasium, Marina Del Rey did an amazing job in helping him excel and made him feel confident and prepared for High School.
The staff and owners Jeanette and Walter are amazing people. They really care about the children and do a fantastic job.
Mathnasium staff helped my daughter with all her needs including homework which was a recipe for success.

I think my kids enjoyed Mathnasium and it helped with the building blocks of math, given how quickly the concepts are taught at school.
For my older daughter, she was a bit frustrated that she couldn't focus on the concepts she was currently learning in her advanced math class, but I personally think sticking with the method of Mathnasium was probably for the best, since I thought the advanced math class in school might be moving too fast... so in the end.. I think it was great....
Still not sure on what the policy is regarding time spent on homework versus time spent doing the Mathnasium created work...
I think the tutors and staff are great with the students. I would like my daughter to restart the program and retest as she is doing very challenging math at her school. She's currently in the 3rd grade. I would like that same type of work to be given to her at Mathnasium so that should can master each section. In other words, I would like the work to parallel.
