Mathnasium is a good place for a student to attend. They help understand math, and understand homework. The earlier you take them there the better. That way they will not have a big gap in their knowledge. Good thing is, they can go any day and any time, no appointments needed.

I had an 11 year old daughter and a 8 year old son enrolled in Mathnasium for 13 months. My daughter, who was already advanced in math, became more solid in her understanding of math and is now taking 9th grade honors math in 7th grade. She really enjoyed her sessions there. My son arrived 2 years behind in math. He would lose math concepts quickly, so math homework was such a struggle for him. Thirteen months later, he is now in advanced math!
