The changes and confidence in my daughter since she has started here is breathtaking. She was quite unsure of math and not liking it to now she is considering it easy and this is just after a few short months. I continue to see her grow, even though she still has some problem areas, they are being dealt with professionally and at her pace. No pushing, or trying to get her through a section, honest hard work and perseverance.

Our 14yr old was going to be a freshman at a new school and he was incredibly nervous about how far behind he was in month.
He spent 2-3hrs everyday during the summer at Mathnasium working diligently to fill any gaps. The confidence he gained in his intellect and ability was incredible to see. He know linger fears math and knows eventually he can master any concept.
We started our son in Mathnasium about 4-5 years ago. He'd been going as much as our busy schedules would enable us for several months and we saw much improvement, but our life schedules made it difficult to continue. We knew our son still greatly needed help and we made important and necessary compromises in our routines in order for our son to return to Mathnasium. Dan had a plan for our son and implored us not to give up. We made a promise to ensure our son attends at least three times a week for 1-1/2 hours per visit and we are determined to not compromise this schedule. In fact, this time around our son actually doesn't dread going to Mathnasium, particularly because of the wonderful staff at the Overland center that works very closely with him and others and for the incentives and fun while learning. Of course, he finds that with each new math skill he begins to learn that it naturally starts out difficult until it becomes easy and then soon we have the joy of seeing how ecstatic he is and proud of himself when he tells us he's achieved a new mastery. We're not only proud of our son for grinding it out and reaching these math goals, but we are so forever grateful to Dan Hintz and the Mathnasium staff!

Ryland came home tonight from Mathnasium and was so excited to show everyone how he could easily add two numbers by borrowing from one to make the other into a ten, then adding what was left. It was like he learned a magic trick, he was that excited.
Our 14yr old loves the organization of lessons, and the people. He is gaining confidence in his abilities he didnt have before. It should change how he enters high school with confidence, rather than fear.
Everything is great with the exception of the summer hours. Morning hours would be much better for kids, especially younger ones. My kiddos come to Mathnasium exhausted in the afternoon after swimming and playing all day.

Max really enjoys his time there. He likes the instructors and is very motivated by the stars and punch cards. I appreciate that more basic worksheets are added periodically to keep his motivation high. He just turned 5 and most concepts are new to him, including writing numbers.
This has been a great service to build skill and confidence for my daughter.

The way he explained to my DAUGHTER.. that’s right , my daughter, not me(the parent) why she was struggling was more than perfect. He brought it all to a level she could understand and have it ‘click’ . She no longer “just feels to stupid”. She actually enjoys going every time. In fact, when we arrive to pick her up.. she never wants to leave. We’ve been a member for 5 weeks now and it has been worth every penny.
