I would’ve never guessed that my daughter would actually enjoy going to Mathnasium. I thought it would be a fight to get her there. It was the exact opposite, she actually told her friends about her experience. She would tell parents in the neighborhood that if their kids needed help with math that they should go to mathnasium. Travis and his team were wonderful and gave my daughter so much encouragement and confidence. Her teacher at school was astonished at the changes she saw in the classroom. My daughter has made up for bloat ground and I now feel confident in her ability to succeed in math. Before mathnasium she would have been another “failed junior high math and lost interest in STEM girls” now I think she won’t feel defeated by math but energized.

Mathnasium has been beneficial to my son who is self motivated and focused on learning. I used to have my daughter in the in-house sessions before COVID and she was usually distracted by the commotion around her. She did seem to work when it was quiet and just a few other students were there and when someone with working just with her. At her age I don't think that the online format would work for her. Part of this is her personality. If things get back to normal I would consider putting her back into the in-house sessions if it's quiet/no commotion and there would be more 1 on 1.
