Mathnasium helps students to try to think out of the box which is very helpful for lifelong learning. Know your child though. If your child does better with one-one instruction, this format may not be beneficial for your child. There are tutors there, but their time is divided.

Mr. Charles and his staff are amazing. They amount of time and patience they put into helping students understanding is unbelievable. The philosophy of teaching a student why they solve a problem a certain helps to build a foundation that each student can build his or her own path on. It also is wonderful that they allow students to bring up areas that they are having trouble with in school. After several other tutoring programs, I have found that this is the perfect fit for my son. I can’t thank Mr. Charles and his staff enough for the difference they have made in my son and the confidence they are helping him to build as a student.

Things I like the most about Hillsborough Mathnasium:
1. Class registration system is very convenient and easy to use
2. Very flexible schedule and friendly staff who can cancel and add class flexibly
3. Help my child review what is going to in class and consolidate what has been learned before

The premise of Mathnasium is great. I definitely like the concept of showing different approaches to solving problems. And when the student grasps that concept, that problem solving skill would translate to other subjects and not just math.

Math homework used to be a real struggle in my house. My daughter would stress about homework and tests. Her grades were falling short of her potential and it was beginning to affect her self-esteem. Mathnasium has increased her confidence to the point where there are no more tears and her grades have gone from Cs and Ds to As and Bs. Charles and his staff in Hillsborough are just fantastic. I recommend Mathnasium to anyone whose child is struggling with math.
