Mathnasium is giving our son the knowledge and confidence he needed to be successful in the coming school year. Every time he comes he says he has fun and likes doing the lessons.
Even though I stress out about math, the hardest subject for me since I began school, I enjoyed working with Hayes, high school, and college students because they explained math to me in ways I could understand it. I passed my PPCC MAT 050-Quantitative Literacy math pre-wreck with a 78% after mainly working with Hayes because he is very familiar with math classes from PPCC and UCCS. FYI, he has worked with both college campuses and their math instructors a lot because he sincerely cares about college students successfully completing their degree. Hayes wife, Susan, is very nice to everyone around her, and she cares about college students successfully completing their degree as well because she is the main one that sends emails to math instructors about what you struggled with the most on the math survey you take and figures out the best way to work in the specific math situation you are currently dealing with. It may depend on what people are struggling with when they take Mathnasium's math survey, but it only took me an hour to do. The Mathnasium survey is never something you get graded on and you don't have to do the entire thing, unless you know to do all of the problems, and only a couple people who took the survey were able to make a perfect score on the survey. All you need to do on the Mathnasium survey is the problems you know how to do. With the math problems you know how to do, they will not have you work on because if you work on the problems you don't have memorized very well yet, you will most likely pass the math classe(s) you need to get through to do what you want to do later on in your life. Mathnasium works with school students of all ages and they are very sympathetic and understanding when their students are frustrated with what they are doing their best to learn.

According to my son, the instructors are great and want you to succeed. They challenge you to understand what you are doing. The atmosphere is relaxed and Hays and Susan are the best.
As a parent, no one gets a 10, but at the end of the second semester, if his grades are consistent, maybe I’ll reconsider.

My daughter grades has improved tremendously since starting this program. She loves how knowledgeable her tutors are and the methods they use to help her understand a certain topic.
My son was having issues with pre-calculus and the owner took extra time with my son. Definitely outstanding assistance! My son had always been great at math, but was lost. He ended up getting an A, due to the attention and care of the staff!
gabe likes playing the math games with other kids. as promised you try to make math fun for kids.
it's a different approach geared to each child and their strengths vs weaknesses.
we checked out Tutors first and they failed to even agree on where gabe's problems ;ies and I never agreed with their "solution"

Very helpful, a little expensive. Could use a few more open hours for kids with very busy schedule. Totally worth every penny.

I am impressed with the quality and care that the tutors have given to my son. They are able to explain what he is working on and how he is progressing. He was not happy that he had to be tutored, but deep down I know he is learning the math concepts that he did not grasp in the classroom at school. I am grateful for this institution, and will continue to recommend it to everyone.
Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They work with the kids and are willing to tailor their approach based on the kids needs. My son enjoys going to their facility and thinks of Math as being fun.
I appreciate that the staff understand our specific goals and are willing to adjust to our daughters needs. The variety of people there to help gives her options as well. The environment at Mathnasium is friendly and welcoming. The staff are very flexible and will listen to input. My daughter improved her grades and has a better understanding of her math homework. I really appreciated all the help and would recommend the program to any student struggling with math!!!
My tenth-grade daughter struggled with math for the past couple years, which led to a lot of gaps in her understanding. This compounded her difficulty learning new material, making her feel hopelessly lost, confused and frustrated. Mathnasium evaluated her grasp of all the concepts she has been exposed to in school up to the present, determined areas of weakness and developed a plan to strengthen her entire foundation. Within a month she had completed that plan, while simultaneously receiving instruction on her current material. Her confidence and grades are improving dramatically and she's gone from being lost in class to helping other students.
My son is 7 years old. Due to personal issues he joined 1st grade in January. He missed a lot from school and I thought I should have him join some tutoring classes. I signed him for Kumon were they did a placement test and told me that he needs Reading and math classes. We started with them. After close to 10 months and hundreds of papers done at their place and as homework (that I needed to check and correct).. He was doing subtraction in his school (and he was doing great) while in Kumon he was still doing addition!!!! I addressed that with them and their answer was (he's not fast enough!!). Kumon is so structured and they don't think outside the box. On the other hand, Mathnasium has been GREAT with my kid. They started the placement test and they addressed his weaknesses... Made him practice what he needs to be better at and they give him ideas of how to think outside the box! How to make the problem solvable from another perspective. They don't give him homework, but he's welcome to go 6 days a week. Where, by the way, they do more like a one-on-one sessions. They make it personal. They make it fun. He's advancing there faster than in his school (that's the point of tutoring) and the main point is HE LOVES IT!!! Oh when I remember the nightmare that is Kumon: my son hated it, we were fighting all the time for him to do his homework (on top of the homework he gets from his school).. Even there, he would do his work on his own.. They were not spending special time with him to teach him tricks or techniques.. They were mostly trying to get him to MEMORIZE BY HEART additions!!
