Mathnasium has been wonderful! It gives our 4th grade daughter a supportive, encouraging place to practice her math skills. We originally signed up for a short block of 8 sessions over the summer, but our daughter’s attitude toward match changed so dramatically that we enrolled for a full year. In truth, our daughter begged us to enroll!
Over the past three months, she has gone from a reluctant math student who refused to memorize her multiplication tables to a kid who is excited to get to Mathnasium! Her confidence at school has skyrocketed. She postpones play dates and runs in on the weekends before soccer and basketball games so she can practice. She loves every adult in the center, especially Kathryn, I especially appreciate the homework help, which can handle whetever a child is assigned at school. I can send a quick note to Kathryn and Barry about a difficult homework topic and they quickly identify the skills ant sissies and add them to my child’s binder.
I highly recommend Mathnasium in Bethesda.

My son has enjoyed the experience so far. He likes the teachers he's worked with and doesn't mind going.. half the battle!! And he's applying math concepts and counting a lot more on his own.
I am iterested to see how this experience translates into the end of summer assessment and into his approach to math when school resumes.

The tutors were kind, patient and a great fit for my daughter. She had D's and E's in Geometry before, and got an A on her next test after working with tutors at Mathnasium!

My daughter loves going! Though still too early to tell how well it is helping.
We have only been with Mathnasium for a few weeks; however I do see improved Enthusiasm in our daughter. We are looking forward to seeing how she progresses over the next few months
I would fully recommend Mathnasium but with caveats. Each child is different and my reasons are going to be the same reasons other parents have. Mathnasium might not be great for all kids and that is why I rate a 9 instead of a 10.

The system used at Mathnasium is the best! It actually gets kids to like doing math and teaches them to think mathematically. We are very pleased with our son's progress. Having convenient drop in hours is an added plus.
our daughters love coming to Mathnasium - they are keen to come even after a day at school. Their mental arithmetic has improved dramatically since we started a few months ago, and the tutors have all been great at helping them develop efficient thinking strategies and a proper understanding of the concepts they need to cover.
Great teachers, Great place to learn math as a math thinker
My daughter has been coming to Mathnasium this summer after struggling mightily in math over the past two years in school. We've tried private tutors, interventions in school, and online programs. While I can't speak to her progress, as she has not been reassessed yet, I can speak to her attitude toward math. She is more excited about math than I've ever seen her, more confident and enthusiastic. I sense a feeling of relief that math is starting to make sense to her, finally. Whereas before she would dread math work, she now looks forward to coming to Mathnasium and is disappointed when we can't. She can't wait till school starts so she can show her new teacher what she's learned.
Mathnasium was willing to work with me in a somewhat dire situation. They have been very accommodating.

We love Mathnasium and have had a very positive experience. My child loves going and it's convenient and we can pop over when it works well. She is more confident in her math and has decided she likes math instead of dreading it before. Pricing makes it difficult to afford for long-term and multiple children but, otherwise, it's amazing all around!
