My child really enjoys going to her math class twice per week, which is something I never thought I would say! The teachers are great and make her feel comfortable asking for help when needed. She has made a lot of progress over the past few months and it shows in her work at school.
Angie, George, Kaitlin, and the tutors at Mathnasium Santa Clara are wonderful and very accommodating. When we first started a year ago, the children were below grade level in math and now are at mid-grade level with the mathnasium staff implementing a plan to get them beyond the grade level. The kids have fun with their math when they are there and do not complain with going! ;) I appreciate their payment schedule and the flexibility with making any adjustments if we are away and unable to attend sessions. Lastly, they are incredibly open to speaking to parents about the children’s progress and needs providing additional tips and ideas in how to support the kids at home and in school.

Program director was extremely flexible, accommodating, knowledgeable and never used hard sell tactics. She truly seemed to care about what was the right strategy for Ava's overall learning journey.
I appreciate the sessions also allocated time for homework help with the school's current curriculum. Also, no additional homework to take home is great. They use binders on site only and understand that students and parents have enough on their plates.
Moreover, the option to do a hybrid approach is excellent. We had the flexibility to do one session at home as well as one session onsite to reinforce the learning in person.
Lastly, there was no pressure or penalty for requesting a temporary hold or canceling. This also provided peace of mind that the site director and overall operations prioritized the student and not the financial bottom line.

I think having a small ratio teacher:students helps the kids to understand the concepts and ask questions if there are any confusion points.

To be honest its still difficult getting my son to be excited about tutoring, but he came home from school the other day, excited to tell me that the lesson in class that day was something he had recently learned at Mathnasuim, He not only understood it but was able to help teach the concept to his table group. This is exactly why i wanted him to work with you all. Knowing how math concepts build of each other, I am hopeful he will continue to grow more confident in the subject.
