I like your program
My daughter disliked Math at school more then anything. I was so nervous that her dislike of the subject would be the same at Mathnasium. I was wrong, she asks to go and loves it there! We are noticing an improvement in her confidence with Math, Which is so great! We still have a long way to go to get her caught up to her grade level but have made huge strides in such a short amount of time and we are confident that she will be there by the end of the school year, heck we are confident she will be beyond her grade level by the end of the school year!
So far we are very happy to see our daughters confidence build! She loves going and all of the tutors are very helpful!
I am impressed with how detailed the initial assessment is to determine where a student is missing important information and then with the assessment results, forming a lesson plan that is student specific. The token system really works for my daughter - reward vs. punitive measures. The environment itself is open and welcoming, and the staff are great. There is an overall enthusiasm and sense of community to reach the same goal: conquering math by really understanding the concepts and approaching it the way the student learns best. Overall, the result is the student feels empowered, not ashamed or embarrassed because making mistakes is considered okay and a part of the learning process.

My daughter has become much more interested and excited about using math applications than she had previously. She wants to go to Mathnasium everyday!

My son is just getting started at Mathnasium, but his experience has been great thus far. The teachers are very positive and upbeat, making learning fun, while making sure that he is staying on task and filling the gaps he has in math.

Gweny likes going to the Mathnasium. Her understanding of basic mathematical principals has improved, giving her a much needed boost for starting 2 nd grade.

We enrolled our 12 year old grandson when we learned of his struggles with math. His experience with Mathnasium in one short month has given him confidence to tackle anything new and not just math. He set his personal goal to attend a minimum of 3 times per week and has not skipped yet. In fact, if a conflict arises, he rearranges the schedule to stay on track. Not only is he learning important math skills but time and work management skills as well. He enjoys all the tutors who help him and has shared learned math tips and tricks with friends. Thank you Mathnasium - you're a keeper!!!
We just started using Mathnasium for our nephew so we can't quite see the results just yet but I'm confident once the summer rolls around we'll see more improvement.
My daughter went from dreading math, to begging to be able to go to Mathnasium every day they are open. She loves the staff at federal way.
Our daughter has been attending approximately 1 month now and I have seen a difference in her confidence and fluency in how she tackles math. I am excited to see what her capabilities will look like at 6 months and at 1 year.
On a side note, though I am very pleased with the staff overall this past Thursday (3/3) at a session a female staff said to my daughter "Your not finished with that yet? Hurry up!" That was quite frustrating to her (and me). She is already aware that she is not "quick", that is why she is at Mathnasium. She has been made fun of at school for this same reason and it would be my hopes that she does not experience this at Mathnasium.

I do like how the staff is helping Sydney settle down with the routine at drop off. Sydney was excited at first to go the Mathnasium, but now it is difficult to get her there because she does not want to go.
I have two 8th graders who heard about mathnasium from their friends. When school started this year, their math scores were not well. They asked to go to mathnasium. Within three days of attending mathnasium, their math grade went up an entire letter grade. They no longer dred math and every time they have math homework, they request to go to mathnasium to do their homework, then get assistance to look over it. Their confidence is building. They have only been going for one month! I'm so happy for them, their confidence is growing and they no longer dred their homework. They're starting to gain confidence and math skills.
