Mathnasium in Chapel Hill SAVED US! We are forever grateful for, especially, the owner, who was able to figure out EXACTLY what Oliver needed. And he was able to adjust tutoring, schedules, how much and exactly the process that was used by the Excellent tutors, who are So Wonderful with these students! All around our BEST experience around education ever! We are taking a break for summer, and we will be back before summer ends. It’s also likely we’ll want to enroll Ollie’s little brother at that time.
Also~ Do you all offer services or have recommendations in Chapel Hill for a rising 12th grader and rising 9th grader on 1) scheduling/planning out a strategy of attack for courses, assignment completion, studying for tests, etc., 2) good study skills habits, and 3.). Good written note-taking skills? We would REALLY like our middle and youngest sons to have this type of tutoring over summer so that they are more ready to go in the fall, especially after being virtual for school over the past 1 1/2 years of school.

Mathnasium is great for my girls. The instructors are helping to ensure that my kids have a strong understanding of the basics so they can branch out from there. I think this is especially helpful during the time of remote learning. Having the one-on-one assistance is really helping a lot!

We signed up our high school junior to help improve his SAT Math score. At this point, we can say that he has really enjoyed coming to Mathnasium for his sessions and says it has helped. It also has really boosted his confidence in taking the exam. He's taking the SAT today, so we'll let you know how it turns out!

My girls have enjoyed Mathnasium summer. They liked the independence they had and willl be back.
It’s been an fantastic way for my girls to keep up their math in the summer, build their math confidence and learn to enjoy it.
This has been a great experience for my daughter. She does well in math at school, but never seems confident in her ability. Her math classes at school have been about memorizing how to solve problems; they were not truly teaching math skills that could build from year to year. I’ve tried having her use Khan Academy and IXL, but she really didn’t enjoy either. It was a struggle to get her to use them. Mathnasium has been completely different. She loves coming and leaves excited with how well she has completed the tasks. I cannot say enough good things about the program!
My 15 year old son actually enjoys going to Mathnasium, and says it helps him so much more than his Algebra teachers. He says the Tudors are very nice, and do a great job explaining concepts that he has struggled with in school. It is also wonderful to be able to show up, without being boxed into an appointment time. It has also been great to put our membership on hold for the summer, as we are away a great deal and would not be able to get in very often. Many thanks!
I found the owners to be absolutely wonderful! They responded to my initial e-mail inquiry very quickly and were also willing to talk to me over the telephone. They were extremely accommodating and flexible with our particular needs (my son's) and also, with scheduling! The environment is super cool and the teachers seem to really know what they are doing with an organized and methodical pedagogy!
