Well my daughter's story is a little different. My daughter is 25 year old. College right out of High School was not her thing. She decided to take a break from school and tried doing things on her own. Well entry level job, after entry level job ended up frustrating her and she decided to go back to get a degree.
She went to NOVA Community College and did very well in all of her classes. So much so that she has been officially accepted into the University of Sciences Dr. of Occupational Therapy program. That was the best news that she has gotten for quite sometime. She felt like she was on top of the world, until she realized that in order for her to stay of track for her program she would have to test into a Pre-calculus course to start the academic year. This revelation took the wind out of her sails. In order for her to test into pre-calc,. she had to get through an Algebra proficiency test and the test was less than three weeks away.
My daughter and I put our heads together and we contacted Mathnasium and explained the situation and the dire sense of urgency. The professionals got right on it. They devised a custom plan for my daughter and the instructors were very flexible in working around her work and academic schedule.
The bottom line is that my daughter sat for the proctored exam and she needs to pass three units to test out of Algebra so that she can then sit for the pre-calc proficiency test. Well she not only passed three units, she actually passed five units!!
This was the best investment I ever made. It basically saved my daughter approx $40k since she has been accepted as a full 2nd year college student, enabling her to get her PhD in five years. Shge could not have done it without Mathnasium. As a matter of fact we are continueing with using their services to make sure she can ace Pre-Calculus this fall.

The staff are amazing, just wish their were more billing options rather than just monthly or 6 mos. Other than that it's a terrific place w/great staff.
Mathnasium is an AMAZING resource, my son Gabe LOVES going to the Ashburn Farm, VA Facility. Gabe says he learns a lot and really likes the instructors. Gabe says the instructors are engaged and make learning FUN!
