Both our daughters were being pushed ahead in the Douglas county school system which created confusion without understanding the fundamentals. Mathnasium program provided excellence in understanding math concepts and having confidence in the subject. They always look forward to the sessions and have fun learning math! Incredibly improved their skill-set and teaching others within weeks of starting the program.
We’ve tried to instill the love of math into our now 6th grader ever since her kindergarten year. Overtime, we settled for “You don’t have to love math, but just don’t approach it with fear or hate.” We’ve yelled and we’ve cried (not our finest moments) during homework time. We’ve purchased apps and we’ve paid for tutoring. Desperate to make her last year of elementary school a better year in math, we looked into Mathnasium this summer for some intensive work. She frowned and protested that we’ve ruined her summer. Less than two weeks of attending Mathnasium, she proclaimed, “Mathnasium makes math fun!!” She can’t wait to go there each afternoon. She then asked her after school camp teacher if she can start helping the younger kids with their math homework. We can’t thank Mathnasium enough for this attitude change that we tried so hard to find in her in the last six years!!
Our daughter's experience at Mathnasium in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, was beyond our expectations. Anxiety was turned into confidence this summer. No longer does she feel negatively about math. Love it. The owner is reasonable and personable. Scheduling is flexible. It feels like this Mathnasium is really trying to deliver what it promises without nickel and diming me.

My children LOVE going to Mathnasium in Highlands Ranch! Both children, on advanced learning plans for math, craved quicker pacing and more differentiated instruction than what they were receiving in their elementary classrooms. Partnering with Lesa Bishop and her staff of mathematicians has been such a blessing. Their comprehensive math knowledge, instructional strategies, and positive attitudes create an environment that my children appreciate.
At Mathnasium, my children are encouraged to advance at their own paces. No more waiting for everyone in the class to grasp the skill before moving forward. In nine months, my 6th grader has completed the 6th grade, 7th grade, and Pre-Algebra curriculums. In three months, my younger child completed the 5th grade curriculum and is now beginning the 6th grade curriculum. The frequent mastery checks and end-of-unit assessments ensure they are retaining what they have learned.
No longer do my children’s grade levels become the ceiling to their learning. At Mathnasium, the sky is the limit! If your child desires an accelerated pace to his/her math instruction, I highly recommend Lesa Bishop and her staff at Mathnasium in Highlands Ranch.
My son is going for the summer to improve and maintain his math skills in preparation for algebra in 8th grade. He has liked all of his instructors and says he feels much more confident bout his math skills going into the school year because of his sessions. I have found that they are very easy to work with and schedule appointments etc.
