The management onsite at the center and instructors are great! The business side is very concerning. If it were not for the instructors and Robert, we would hesitate to recommend to others. Parents should not be nickeled and dimes and tricked to extend their contracts while under the initial 30 day contract period.

This experience has been wonderful! My daughter loves going to the center. The instructors are great--very personable and patient. They present the work in ways my daughter can understand. And her grades in math have gone up tremendously, from barely passing to As and Bs. Maggie now looks forward to math class. Not only does she feel confident about what's going on, she is able to contribute to class and usually is ahead of the other students. It is so great to have your kid come home saying that she is so pleased with her tests and math scores. We've gone from a kid who hated math to a kid who is really beginning to enjoy it. The practice is fun for kids, it is not that repetitive, kids don't get bored

A couple of short months and we have already seen a dramatic improvement in our son's mental math.
My daughter loves coming to Mathnasium, she is enjoying the class and teachers take their time and have patience to explain the child.
Thought she sometimes does not want to go, my daughter is never unhappy when I pick her up. She seems to appreciate the interaction and explanations. The punch cards also appear to be a good motivator.
We really liked the flexibility in the times our son could visit Mathnasium and really appreciate the instruction he received.
The kids love going. I am very pleased and amazed. In a few months I am interested to see if they are improving as well.

Kids like to go and ask to be taken there, cant ask for a better reccomendatn than that. I do wish it was open on Friday as with camp it is hard to get there
Our seven-year-old daughter goes there without hesitation and even seeks it out. By contrast, there's less than 50% chance at home that she wants to do any of that kind of work. She clearly likes the approach and the content.

we've bee really happy so far. my one criticism would be the hours - since many elementary age kids have activities after school and doing both mathnasium and that activity is just too much for one evening for younger children - i'd really appreciate expanded hours in some way - longer day saturday, sunday afternoons, or friday after school as on other days.
It has only been one month but so far I like the personalized attention and my child seems to enjoy it. The candy and working towards prizes like gift cards works for for my child. Robert at the McLean center is an experienced and stronger teacher than the younger student teachers and I like the way he is actively teaching and helping students (not staying in the back room). I think it's important that the approach is conceptual (not memorization) and kids are asked to show their work. Perhaps the curriculum can be beefed up with some more "apply your thinking" type word problems. For example, I was surprised that there were no perimeter/area type word problems for elementary aged kids.
I have already referred the program to other family members.
