WE have been with the Tuckahoe Mathnasium since the 2nd summer it was open. From Nikki to Billy and the staff we have found it to be a positive environment with happy attitudes and a safe place to leave our young (and now slightly older) girls. Our only concern is the overall cost and lately the payment options... It seems that over the years the company has been moving towards a structure that is mainly for full year tutoring. I would suggest thinking strategically about this. We have recommended the summer program countless times to neighbors and locals. Sometimes thats all you can afford. The full program monthly cost is equal if not more than a car payment. In the context of family life, and not being wealthy by any means, this is a large cost right next to budgeting for monthly groceries or the mortgage. We are making it work and stretching to be able to offer our youngest this program. However it would've been much easier for us if there was a school year length program and a seperate summer program. The 6 and 12 month option don't easily work out to cover Sept-June. In the perfect world we could do the 12 months for years but in family life having the option to take the summer for financial relief would be helpful. I understand all of the reasons to have a child do summer bridge AND the school year... Reality isn't always on the same track. As a parent it feels horrible to have to make choices between your child's forward movement and growth, emotional security because they aren't struggling and starting to grow self negative talk over not being a strong math kid and you're finances. A few more options than 6 mo, 12 mo and monthly would be relieving... And please keep the summer program going, don't lose that in the future! As I mentioned we have had wonderful interactions with the staff who are consistently kind, helpful and earnest about the care for our girls. I'm very thankful for that!
My son loves Mathnasium—he wants to go even when he has a day off from school. He really enjoys working with his tutors, and has discovered a love of mathematics this way—much to my surprise.
We've only been at Mathnasium for about a month. So far, so good. Our son enjoys going and we feel his comfort and confidence in math is growing.
Love the customized curriculum for each of my boys! And the flexible schedule works perfectly for us. We only joined a month ago and can tell the improved confidence in my sons math abilities already!

My son LOVES Mathnasium. I have never seen him as excited to "complete 13 worksheets!!". He asks everyday if he is going and is actually excited to go without having to push him too.
